France will double the number of police patrolling its beaches as part of a deal with the UK to stem the number of migrants crossing the English Channel.
The UK will pay more than £54m as part of the deal agreed between ministers in London and Paris. The Home Office said the two countries would also improve intelligence sharing and use better technology to target those who organise the crossings. |

I wonder why the numbers are so high lately.
I reckon either news just focusing on it more, or because weather been so good calmer seas. Or both. |

Come on let's not be silly. They would have docked in the first safe country otherwise. I have no issue whatsoever to someone who is that desperate they feel they have to pay £5,000 for a very dangerous crossing...I empathise. Yes, they should go down legal routes, but that is easier said than done if you really feel your life is in danger..... The issue is that this isn't always the case. |
"They would have". Sure, Jan. Because you lived the immigrant life so well to speak on their behalf. And I am sure you have proper data to back the "a lot are criminals" and not based on articles Arista is posting.
Anyway. |

and lets not pretend this is a criminal racket using gullible people who have been hoodwinked by criminals gangs but the people on the boats do know they are also breaking uk LAW |

You are wrong photographs are the Truth. The Minister for Calais (who said they are leaving all over the coast of the French side) was live on Farage last night GBnewsHD He was told how a French Police ship near the coast did nothing to stop a boat full of Illegal Migrants in low waters, leaving the French side. Thats the Problem YOU take our £54million and are too slow to make changes, |

If you are that afraid for your life. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...)%20population. "Albanian nationals make up the largest number of foreign national offenders in UK prisons, totalling 16% of the foreign national offenders (FNO) population." Look at the pictures, where's all the women and children? Anyway, what? |

Yes, we are talking about people here. And I defended those who are seeking asylum from persecution etc. I also said that if that was the case and you were that desperate that you would stop at the first safe country you arrived at. |

To deny that some of these people don't come here to cause crime, gang rivalry, take benefits etc is just naive in my opinion.
Saying that it doesn't happen or the data doesn't suggest that is just silly. We're so PC which could be the reason the data is not supplied or it's just too hard to gather. They're illegal for a reason so it's going to be difficult to track these things. I even empathised earlier on about how someone would feel that in danger they felt they had to seek aslyum illegally and not through the proper channels..........BUT I don't sympathise with those who do it for other reasons, I also don't think we should be paying to have them brought onto our shores when they have bypassed a safe country already. |

Yes we can not afford them. France is far bigger than the UK you must house them give them jobs (that you do not like) And we will, in the end, pay France for every Illegal we return (Future Plan) |

When did I deny that some come here to cause crime? I asked for data to back up the "A lot of".
Again, the "a lot of" is subjective compared to total illegal immigrants that are stopped at the borders. And again, "Albanian nationals make up the largest number of foreign national offenders in UK prisons, totalling 16% of the foreign national offenders (FNO) population." A part of it probably entered the UK with a legal status. So we're not just talking about illegal immigration here. Again, not saying it does not exist but let's try to be more neutral. Also, the "if you were that desperate that you would stop at the first safe country you arrived at." act is tired. You don't know these people. You don't live their lives. They risk their lives to get to UK for a reason, possibly because of the language or because they already have family there. Don't try to put yourself in their shoes giving uncoherent advice. |

Yes but in the Future we will Pay France for every Illegal we return on the same day. It is the only way to solve this France sets a fee per illegal we return. A new Agreement First of its kind. |
