1 reviewer was raving all about it and it spread across the forums but I've also read another report where they make the show not sound that good.

Judging by the time some of those matches got it certainly doesn't sound that good.

Oh and Hardcore Justice was solid if you like that thing but amazing it definitely wasn't.

MissKittyFantastico 10-08-2010 06:30 PM

I heard there was only one decent match on HJ and that was the Raven/Dreamer match? Too many backstage segments with the current TNA roster who clearly have no clue what the original ECW was all about by the sounds of it. I might watch on Friday when it's on over here though just to see how much of a car crash it actually was :p

Haven't watched any TNA in a while so I doubt I'll have any clue wth is going on if I tune into Impact this week lol.

King Gizzard 10-08-2010 06:34 PM

Its just..stupid..why have a PPV made up of a match you would see in WWE years ago..is that really progression??

RichardWells 10-08-2010 06:37 PM

Because TNA cannot create their own legacy, they would rather build on other people's legacies.

I'm still waiting for Dixie "i'm as naive as hell" Carter to do an AWA one night stand lol.

Tbf it was about showcasing the ORIGINAL ECW not the WWE version of it lol but even so it doesn't sound like they did a very good job.

I really don't understand what TNA got out of it apart from pissing their own talent off even more than they are already.

But WWE did that in 2005 with One night stand.

But that was the better show because most of the guys were still in their prime and we had Joey Styles calling the action and Paul Heyman backing the show.

Hardcore Justice was solid but was full of fat out of shape wrestlers who should have retired years ago.

King Gizzard 10-08-2010 06:57 PM

But still...why not just carry on how they were, with their own wrestlers..be new and innovative

WWE is going through that period at the moment, Kane and Undertaker will be gone soon.

Because they are so desperate to compete with the WWE.

Moving to Mondays proved that and look what a failure that was.

TNA need to stop being WWE lite and focus on their own talent.

Ramsay 10-08-2010 07:14 PM

One Night Stand was amazing
well 2005 and 2006 was
2005 more so as it was more to do with ecw
havent seen hard justice yet but ill check it out

true
the way they are atm is so bad
they spent the last ..what?..month focusing on this ecw reunion?
when tna had nothing to do in the first place
if they pushed starts like wolfe ,joe , aj , shelley etc instead of washed up old wwe wrestlers maybe they would get more popular
but atm its just cringey to watch
IMO

RichardWells 10-08-2010 07:21 PM

And TNA called Hardcore Justice a reunion show and a one last stand yet they are back on Impact this week involved in another storyline.

TNA will milk it to death.

If Paul Heyman isn't involved in some way then it's not the original ECW for me anyway. ONS 2005 was a brilliant PPV to be fair to WWE actually.

And isn't TNA pretty much full of out of shape, irrelevant wrestlers on a weekly basis now anyway? ;)

The Hogan era has ruined TNA, I used to really enjoy it, now it's just being run into the ground imo.

Ramsay 10-08-2010 07:27 PM

Vince probably got Hogan to destroy TNA lol

Well to be fair TNA does have some great young talent but they either A) don't use them properly or B) push them aside for ex WWE stars or not so talented wrestlers.

I mean look at Samoa Joe, he was on fire back in 05 and 06 but since them TNA have misused him quite badly imo.

MissKittyFantastico 10-08-2010 07:32 PM

It actually wouldn't surprise me at all Karl

Boothy 10-08-2010 07:37 PM

What's the better show nowadays, WWE or TNA, I wouldn't mind getting back into wrestling.

Well I'd say WWE as they are making a concerted effort to build their young superstars but you might think differently.

Jayson 10-08-2010 07:39 PM

I haven't posted in here for ****ing ages.

I've stopped watching WWE weekly shows now and just watch the PPV's. I don't really care about WWE anymore.

I watch TNA regularly. I ****ing love it. It's so much better than WWE imo.

WWE has better stories but TNA has better wrestling.

Pity their storylines never make sense though lol.

No TNA has better spotfests.

Jayson 10-08-2010 07:44 PM

But with WWE all you get is the same old ****. A few of the young guys are really good but they aren't used enough. Also, the PG rating means that they're stuck without the hardcore matches that everyone loves, and have to rely on regular matches or watered down extreme matches (see Extreme Rules PPV) and they don't do them as well as TNA, either.

Actually I don't like Hardcore wrestling and I never have.

It's garbage wrestling and I don't like it.

Jayson 10-08-2010 07:49 PM

But TNA do regular matches better than WWE, too. Their Womens division, X Division and Tag-Team division are better. The only thing that makes me watch WWE is the storylines - and even they are getting boring now - and people like The Miz and CM Punk, who have more mic skills than everyone at TNA and WWE combined.

Oh, and John Cena is about as good at wrestling as an infected rectum. Just thought I'd put that in there.

RichardWells 10-08-2010 07:52 PM

Their tag team division is better I agree but the knockouts division is not as good as it was a year or so ago and the X division has not been good in years.

And I have friends who are TNA fans who even say that.
