How have aston villa everton and fulham done?

King Gizzard 25-08-2009 01:18 AM

in the europe? last thursday everton and fulham got heavy wins but we lost 1-0

Novo 25-08-2009 01:19 AM

Villa dont really care at all about the europa league

i remember was it last year?

they put there reserves out against someone and got knocked out

King Gizzard 25-08-2009 01:23 AM

that was basically cause we wanted to concentrate on the league cause we were like 6 points ahead of arsenal at that stage.

i didnt mind that much but felt sorry for the fans that spent about £1200 for a crappy performance by our reserves

we probably wouldnt of beat them with our first team anyway, vagner love and dzagoev (the next big thing) were good that night

30stone 25-08-2009 01:25 AM

Lol.

They should focus on europa.

I still thought we would come 4th.

within 4 weeks we were 6 points clear..

King Gizzard 25-08-2009 01:27 AM

I seriously dont give a crap about it this year either, i dont see the point in it

The Arsenal game will only be good if Celtic get plenty of goals or it will be a boring easy match for Arsenal..

Don't care who wins but i want to watch a good game.. Hmmm will it happen?

Everton will play it safe.. ZzzZZzz

Villa NEED to win and it might be a good game.. Maybe.

Johann 25-08-2009 01:47 AM

We'll probably win 3-0. Villa will turn their tie around and win 4-0.

andyman 25-08-2009 01:48 AM

Everton failed to win the FA Cup, will be 20 years next time they have a chance.. :xyxwave:

Blaise Matuidi back on Arsene Wenger's radar as Arsenal chase £5m St Etienne man as cover for injured Cesc Fabregas

Arsene Wenger is ready to step up his summer-long pursuit of Saint-Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi, with Cesc Fabregas facing three weeks out after aggravating a hamstring injury in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Portsmouth.

Fabregas misses the return leg of the Champions League play-off against Celtic
tomorrow night but, with Arsenal leading 2-0 from last week’s trip to Glasgow, coping without the Spaniard against Tony Mowbray’s side should not represent a major problem for the side.

Fabregas’s absence from Saturday’s trip to face champions Manchester United, however, is a bitter blow for Arsenal after their blistering start to the league campaign, in which they have hit 10 goals in two games.

The Arsenal skipper should return for the game away to Manchester City after the
international break but, with the end of the transfer window fast approaching, Wenger wants to bring in playmaker Matuidi as cover.

Saint-Etienne sporting director Damien Comolli has spent the summer insisting the £5million-rated midfielder, who has drawn comparisons with Patrick Vieira, is not for sale, but Wenger has not been put off.

I bloody hope so, this guy is quality. He would definitley bolster our midfield. I thought Wenger would have bid for him already since he's been linked with us for quite some time. As usual he loves to wait until the last minute.

He also said that he may bring in another defender before the window closes - so Hangeland may not be out of the question just yet.

King Gizzard 25-08-2009 01:53 AM

I am pretty optimistic villa will be seeing new faces coming in before friday.

30stone 25-08-2009 01:53 AM

Yeah johann this blaise is a great player.
hes probs just taking his time with the pricing...

After beating Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield that will give the Villa players a huge lift which they will take into the game on Thursday, if they lose then the team are bunch of losers..

King Gizzard 25-08-2009 01:59 AM

I still havnt come to terms that we won to anfield. hasnt sunk in yet, what a weird and wonderful night

Celtic will be destroyed by RVP

Johann 25-08-2009 02:08 AM

Everton are believed to be interested in Middlesbrough defender Robert Huth.

Following the departure of Joleon Lescott to Manchester City, Toffees boss David Moyes is keen to fill the void left by the England international and has targeted Huth as a priority.

Moyes is also keen on Huth’s Boro teammate David Wheater, Bolton’s Gary Cahill and Stoke’s Ryan Shawcross but is unlikely to get any of the latter three.

Reports suggest that he is preparing a £5million bid for Huth.
