It's about vampires yeah, but in a different way from The Vampire Diaries / True Blood. Vampirism is treated like a virus I think, and the vampires get a more monstrous appearance over time, share one hive mind, etc. It's more directly horror-based I think.

So there's none of the vampire / human romance seen in the other two shows I assume. :laugh:

I love the idea of vampires being portrayed simply as dangerous monsters, we've had enough romanticization of them recently. :laugh:

I still need to catch up on Penny Dreadful, too.

The premise really interests me tbh. I love having vampirism being akin to a virus outbreak, with all the vampire fiction out there nowadays this sounds like something fresh.

But of course, the execution could falter. I still think I'll check it out. :)
