I liked it, but it's redundant for them to be using clowns again. With a name like Cult, they should've come up with something more interesting. But I guess they are trying to draw connections between seasons now.

Kathy and Angela were needed

I still think AHS should've done their own fictional election with a cult working behind the scenes of the White House. Sarah Paulson could've played one of the presidential candidates,

Just watched it and it was ****ing WOEFUL. If the rest of the series is anything like the first episode than Freakshow will no longer be the worst season.
The writing is terrible and the message and the meanings it's trying to portray are both basic and badly done. Everything is spelled out using overly unsubtle character archetypes. Sarah Paulson is the overly fearful representation of the stereotypical left while Evan Peters is the radicalised right and it beats you over the head with this for the entire hour just to make sure you understand that even though it's blatantly obvious. It's dumb and the writing assumes that it's audience is dumb and needs it spelled out for them. It's just pretentious and nowhere near as clever, groundbreaking or interesting as the writers think it is. It's utterly boring. You can tell that Ryan Murphy's beyond caring for this show anymore when it's ACS that's getting the awards so much so that this episode just felt like ACS with some 'scary' clowns thrown in for good measure. Complete trash, unless there's an upturn and quick this might be the first season that I don't bother finishing. |

I saw the first pictures and teaser for season 2 Versace earlier and it just seems to have more production value about it. AHS is thrown together with not much effort in comparison. Look at the difference from Murder House to Asylum in casting, sets, story etc. Nowadays, it's just like "Oh bring Twisty back! Give Sarah a jumper and tell her to scream! OH Evan does a good villain get him back! Right guys, I'm off to actually put some effort in on Crime Story". It's a shame. The show could thrive with some injection of actual creativity. |
Netflix has just picked up two seasons of a new show by Ryan Murphy called "Ratched" starring Sarah Paulson
http://deadline.com/2017/09/ryan-mur...st-1202162878/ I think this could be the end of Sarah in AHS Not sure she'll be able to juggle AHS8, ACS3 and also Ratched |
Also, they're advertising Versace. I thought Hurricane Katrina was next?
Ryan Murphy has ADHD when it comes to focussing on projects. |
They switched Versace and Katrina

Idk but they haven't even wrote it yet lmao
The whole original premise has changed and it's being based from a different book |
Oh I read somewhere that Katrina would air in February and Versace would air straight after :skull: Feud gone done fuqed everything up?
|
That was the original plan
I think Versace will be released in Feb and Katrina won't be until 2019 |
I forgot about Feud. :skull:
Which shows is Murphy actually involved with and which does he pass on to lackeys? |
AHS is his main one I think, but then Brad Falchuk probably does the day-to-day showrunning
He writes and directs on ACS/Feud but I don't think he is heavily involved |
I didn't like s5, didn't know s6 existed, but I started s7 15 minutes ago and I'm loving it so far.
|
S6
|
Was the clown in the back of Sarah's car meant to be Scathach from Roanoke? It kind of looked like her.
