The series average so far is 1.92 million making it the 3rd least watched ever (CBB16 = 1.89 and CBB20 =1.80)

Overnights are in brackets

Mon - 1.92m (1.41)
Tue - 1.61m (1.20)
Wed - 1.97m (1.47)
Thu - 1.93m (1.46)
Frid - 1.83m (1.46)
Frid - 1.37m (943k)
Sat - 1.63m (1.00)
Sun - 1.88m (1.35)

That second Friday show pulled the week average down more than 600k :skull: split shows need to go

Behind the Scenes averaged 720k which is more than any episode of BOTS has had in 3 years

And yet name me two other channel 5 shows getting those ratings.

Can't pay we will take It away and on benefits are easily able to pull in those figures per episode with the former being able to hit close to 3 million

HBIC 05-02-2018 05:31 PM

The fact that cbb18 is outrating this series is just tragic

Blind Date

Benefit shows seems to be a ratings hit. C5s audience share grew last year and BB was mentioned so it seems they can survive with it and has stuff that can replace it.

I don’t think the problem for C5 is that they can’t get shows to get them ratings (even if it doesn’t happen often), but I think the problem is the consistency. What’s gonna get them 1.5m+ every night for 4 weeks, then 9-10, then another 4?

That's not the problem though CBB especially is so expensive to run ratings mean jack **** when they are losing money.

C4 did it and C5 won't be any different. CBB is so expensive to run like pontyboi said so losing money is bad for them and they ran out of budget this series hence the pirated version of power point was used.

Just STOP, alright?

You can enjoy the show, but those ratings are embarrassing, so stop justifying them!

RichardG 05-02-2018 06:08 PM

we were probably using the same argument of 'it's good for c5' to justify bb14 only getting 1.8m for eviction nights or whatever the figures were

Sallie axels eviction got over 2 million and if they didn't have a split final the series may have averaged 2 million....after doing it for years they still haven't learned.

When it comes to other programmes the x files for instance got 3.5 million in overnights alone probably up to 4 million in officials which Eastenders gets on bbc1 that's nuts.

When some episodes of cbb are getting under a million it's time to give it up but I do have a feeling the civilian bb this year will be a success.....I feel it in my waters.

Marches 05-02-2018 06:22 PM

Ik a lot of people that didn’t watch past like 4 episodes last year because a lot of the cast was trash that could prob qual as z listers for cbb, they need to be more consistent with casting

Plus it was supposed to be the year of Britain celebrating all cultures yet we ended up with a few normal housemates and the rest had agents and had appeared on other reality shows it was a joke.

They did actually stick to the theme this year and done it well I must say but the damage has been done.

Yeah it’s a shame the one year they get everything right most of the nation has stopped caring

T* 05-02-2018 06:42 PM

casting wise they really need to get a diverse group of housemates where there personalities clash but also go together like say the casting from BB6 and BB7. They need to actually get real people instead of being like ‘oh woe is me we have no hms’ and dipping into casting agencies when there is actually people that want to go in

Are you serious? Bb6 having a diverse cast? Lol they were all the same they were just nasty fame seeking people with the exact same personalities. Bb7 got it spot on though.

Blind Date?

You must be thinking of the first 2 episodes.

The last few Saturdays it has been under 750k overnights.

Can't Pay has dropped too as the Benefit shows have due to overexposure.

the only thing that was on the same wavelength as this years CBB was The Yorkshire Vet and Cruising with Jane (don't know how).

Everything has fell a lot.

*mazedsalv** 05-02-2018 07:11 PM

If you strip out the 2nd show Friday, the series average officially would have been 2m. FACT.

So, maybe they should learn from that, i don't get why they do it and sandwich a show uncapable to reach 800k in between.

It just proves that the younger audience love sex, why else do you think all those shows like Geordie, Love Island and The Valleys was so popular?

It's sad, but there is a big portion of under 30s watching CBB and a lot of them may not have wanted to see debates in this current political climate.

Oaker 05-02-2018 07:21 PM

CBB15 is the most popular CBB and there was no sex or showmances in that series

People just want drama and shouting matches, crazy personalities, villains they love to hate.

But then again CBB13 was the 2nd most popular and it was dominated with a love triangle 50% of the time with the other half Jim vs Linda.

supertv247 05-02-2018 07:44 PM

C5s share did rise last year and no CBB wasn’t mentioned in it, but like said above, consistency is key. CBB getting 1.5-2m for 60 nights of the year helps hold that share up, without it their share would have been nowhere near what it is for the channel as a whole. Even if CBB isn’t at the peak of it anymore it’s still a massive part of the support
