Isn't he O'Neill's no 2 or has he stepped down now?

Yes he is but O'Neill is the manager

I wasn't saying I agreed or disagreed with that point he made, so I'm not sure why you asked me that, my point is he's allowed have his own opinion whether Ireland win or not, his right to talk on a talk show isn't dependent on whether Ireland win the Euros or not.

Also, you can see he's only winding them up anyway, he has a bit of a smirk there at the end of that video you posted

I must say, tripper was amazing last night. A first class player :clap1:

If only people got behide our doctors and nurses

I don't really want to watch a competition about who the best Doctor or Nurse is.

Purposefully didn't look in here last night. Still at least all those supporting Croatia JUST to spite England must be relieved. I know many of you have your reasons. Some of them hundreds of years old! You can let it go now... and who knows, maybe one day your own country will qualify for something. You never know...

I think France will win anyway. For me they're the best team. My favourite after England

I don't fundamentally have a problem with England being successful at a world cup. I have a problem with the English pundits and commentators that then transfers into a wish that the England run is finished. Maybe as an English person you can't see it, but these TV channels service the UK and its diverse population, not just England. It's just horribly cringey

Ross. 12-07-2018 10:10 AM

And the comment about not being successful as a manager could be applied to loads of these pundits lmao

Gary Neville next to him for a start

Vanessa 12-07-2018 10:14 AM

I think Gareth Southgate has been amazing. He got us to the semifinals. Which is further that we've ever got in a long time.

Yeah we are constantly kicking our doctors and nurses....not, have you not seen any of the programmes celebrating 70 years of the NHS

No good celebrating nurses and doctors need a pay rise, had someone in intensive care resently for two weeks, doctors and nurses are real heros not some footballers.

That's not really the players or fans fault though is it

well it could but they don't go banging on about ambition and then last night they had too much ambition lol , didn't he walk away from Mick McCarthy's team because they weren't going with the right attitude, I know he is on a wind up but he needs to remember who is paying his salary, he could hardly contain his glee at the loss tbf

I think we all know that, it's just nice that we get this euphoria every 4 years, God forbid people be joyful, as for the NHS that's really nothing to do with the world cup.

no it's not, but i'm just explaining why i feel as I do. I will happily poke fun at the England team all day long, but it is fun, knowing how crap Scotland have been for decades  But the commentators and pundits actually ruin the whole world cup experience with their awful cringe worthy dialog until England are knocked out. Also, when you have experienced it at one competition, and it then repeats over and over at each subsequent one, tolerance levels drop to zero.

I get what you're saying, but tbf if there's no other British team qualifying for the World Cup then all of the OTT excitement will all be aimed at England.

The best World Cup imo would be to have the 4 British teams and Republic Of Ireland at the World Cup so all of the focus and excitement wouldn't be all aimed at us.

Yeah I was going to say... Belgium and Croatia are the only decent teams they have played, and they lost to both of them.

Must have missed the part where Sweden and Colombia were terrible teams, I guess...
