todays rehearsals are round up of second rehearsals of second half semi 2

Georgia: good vocals again, some changes to staging, more lavalamp effect with visual lyrics of ''my love'' in english and georgian

Albania: huge staging changes, they elevated the staging more compared to 1st rehearsal, she held back on vocals this time around

Portugal: stunning stunning vocal performance, staging feels like a ''michael schulte germany 2018'' moment, is definitely the surprise of this year, very lovely charming ballad with soulful, jazzy vocals

Nicky91 14-05-2021 09:19 AM

Bulgaria: going to be a visual magic moment this one, song wise if you like taylor swift's current albums folklore, evermore you'll enjoy this too loads, others compare to billie eilish but i compare this more to that from taylor

also usage of real sand pouring down from ceiling, and a huge rock where she is standing on

Nicky91 14-05-2021 09:25 AM

also Victoria goes through lots of emotions currently as well

her dad whom she is really close with, always been a hard working guy, he had been diagnosed with ALS

so performing this song ''growing up is getting old'' gives that even more of an emotional impact

Nicky91 14-05-2021 01:18 PM

Finland: great solid rock song, good simplistic rock concert vibe staging

Latvia: beautiful backdrop in gold, very nice quirky green outfits, Samanta is a true slayage queen, downpart her vocals aren't as clean at all times

Switzerland: quite a disaster staging wise and cringey dancing/hand movements lol a favourite?

now only denmark left whose second rehearsal clip needs to be uploaded

we're getting a announcement coming up this evening on eurovision.tv

the way they teased it so mysteriously, some news

i think of Ilse DeLange being confirmed for a role of some sort in the show, since i've followed the news regarding her last few days now

Nicky91 15-05-2021 07:30 AM

today second rehearsals of big 5 + netherlands

and tonight we got the opening of the virtual eurovision village, by executive producer Martin Osterdahl and rotterdam's esc representative in city council Said Kasmi

1 hour long performance of DJ Afrojack to kick us off, presentation done by Paul de Leeuw

during the week we got various guests, among them Duncan Laurence and Johnny Logan

Rotterdam expects 1 million people to visit the online village

we got a 3D world of rotterdam, sightseeing some of highlight places such as Euromast, Markthal, cube homes, and of course ahoy itself

this online village will remain open until May 23rd

Calderyon 15-05-2021 11:27 AM

I'll try and watch all the songs.

Was it the American Song Contest announcement? I made a new thread about it

more clearer proof on Poland

they were last in venue on thursday, all were tested negative

this particular person only tested positive today upon arrival, for routine test and the whole group out of precautionary measure went immediately back into isolation

Nicky91 15-05-2021 01:38 PM

rest of delegation will be separated from this member, and will undergo a PCR test as a precautionary measure as well

so for semi 2, we have to hope Rafal tests negative then

Nicky91 15-05-2021 02:33 PM

apparently Poland will be back at rehearsals on wednesday

:conf: feels quite shady this now

oh also if Rafal cannot perform, footage from rehearsals will be used not the live on tape

Nicky91 16-05-2021 07:36 AM

carpet ceremony will be adjusted slightly

each delegation will be transported via cruise boat separately, to one specific area (all outdoors anyways too so can be easy to manage interviews there with distance and fresh air outside)

the remaining polish delegation members will await their pcr test result today

the one infected person there was a woman, so one of their VIP's not one of the act's team (she was isolated from the rest immediately after they saw her test being positive)

Nicky91 16-05-2021 01:45 PM

someone from Icelandic delegation also tested positive, so no Dadi og gagnamagnio either at carpet event

Nicky91 16-05-2021 01:48 PM

not surprising as Iceland and Poland shared same hotel floor

and they were the ones revealed to be extra nervous after yesterdays covid test at polish delegation

Nicky91 16-05-2021 02:14 PM

no reason for worry, for the shows itself

semi 2 is the one seems to be the matter, now so in case they cannot perform live, their second rehearsal footage will be used, so we will still see their stagings and performance from ahoy anyway

Iceland am not worried for, since they can qualify easily with that second rehearsal either, i rather hope they are well for saturday's final then

Nicky91 16-05-2021 03:26 PM

Romania's delegation won't attend the carpet ceremony event as a precautionary measure more since they stay in same hotel as Iceland and Poland

but they didn't have contacts with any of the other delegations

nevertheless still will undergo a PCR test just to take no further risks

Nicky91 16-05-2021 03:37 PM

Malta aren't attending carpet ceremony event either, due to also having stayed in same hotel as Iceland and Poland

all artists of these countries had their pcr test already, now also rest of maltese delegation also a pcr test

more precautionary measure

Nicky91 17-05-2021 07:13 AM

Happy Eurovision Week everyone on this forum :cheer:

Nicky91 17-05-2021 08:26 AM

USA broadcasting all shows on their streaming service Peacock

Kosovo also broadcasting all shows on their national channel RTK

also fun fact regarding spokespersons, Iceland has the ''Ja Ja Ding Dong'' actor from the esc movie

Nicky91 17-05-2021 12:22 PM

fake applause will be a thing, and it will have more impact on the results than ever

via the app

Nicky91 17-05-2021 12:56 PM

https://wiwibloggs.com/2021/05/17/up...n-2021/265272/

Malta, Romania given green light to attend jury show rehearsals after negative pcr covid tests

Iceland, Poland remain in quarantine, tested again, if all tests are indeed negative then they can attend wednesday jury show rehearsals

polish delegation remaining members were tested negative once already, with pcr test but as to procedure they must test again before wednesday

iceland's team await test results

Nicky91 17-05-2021 12:59 PM

so the positive tests in team poland and team iceland were rapid antigen tests, and those are not really proven to be accurate, which is why everyone needs a pcr test which is more accurate
