Perfume ads irritate me. If I never again see Johnny Depp pretending to strum Wild Thing on guitar, it will be too soon.

He does play lead guitar though … excellently apparently - he started out as a musician ..

The Prada ad with Emma Watson is so pretentious. And the fact it has to be stated it's "directed by Emma Watson". It's pathetic. These celebs are so self absorbed.

I'm aware. But in the ad that's played on a loop for at least the last 5 years, he's standing in front of a pile of speakers, in a desert, surrounded by wolves. I guarantee he's not playing that guitar. And he's too old for leather pants and eyeliner.

Oh yeah, I agree. It's totally pretentious. I have to say also, Emma Watson has the figure of a ten year old boy.

…I know that it sounds obvious but not easy to do but try to relax your body but by bit from the toes up to your head/thoughts …you may not sleep but it’ll still help you to relax and calm and feel more rested…it’s really difficult to calm your thoughts until your body leads that way first to calm and peaceful, you know……

…try to shoo those problems away and clear your head …focus in each part of your body in relaxing it…it’s sounding like a circle of not being able to sleep because your thoughts are so active and having those active thoughts because you’re tired and need sleep…if you can, try to shift that concentration focus into imagining each part of your body relaxing…

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 22-11-2024 03:17 AM

Dang it is bitterly cold!!! My thoughts are with the homeless people out there

Dear Ammi, I do try but it just seems to be a constant pattern of not being able to sleep properly ...like right now. If I do sleep it 4 hours tops and can't sleep after.

It is probably the thing that plays on my mind more than just about anything - especially as the temps get steadily colder

…yeah, sleeping patterns and tendencies etc are so difficult to break or change, aren’t they…because they really do become a circle of tangling up and going around…when it’s a sleep time but you’re awake because that’s your pattern etc…?…I guess it’s to try not to link and attach other patterns, that keep you brain active and thought active as well as body active, you know…?…so if you would watch TV or have internet time or catch up on emails or whatever…?…try to break that cycle and be awake but be chilled and relaxed…and listen to soothing music/practice relaxation techniques etc…it is very difficult, I know …and not always possible to break a pattern completely…but you may be able to relax through that awake time more…and that will make you feel a bit more rested…baby steps, you know….

You do nothing but set a firm boundary and it gets taken for a low-key threat.

“50% of entrepreneurs and 85% of prisoners have ADHD.”

Enough with this ever-growing trend of classifying just-about everyone as neurodiverse.

You doubt the statistics readily available yet believe in stuff that can never be proven ?

There was a case study about 15 years ago that concluded that 70% of youths in a Scottish young offender’s institution were dyslexic ..

People not understanding why I don’t like eggs. Who’d have thought that different people have different likes, dislikes and preferences when i. comes to food and drink? I’ve never liked eggs and probably never will. That’s just how it is.

Moreover, since when has the stench of boiled eggs ever been particularly inviting?
