But they are disturbed by a breakdown truck in scenes shot yesterday. An insider said: “The affair will keep getting steamier until Christmas.”

Coronation Street legend Johnny Briggs paid for sex with a prostitute during a visit to Thailand this week.

The actor, who played Mike Baldwin on the soap, parted with £15 for a night with a 33-year-old brunette called Yo.

Briggs admitted to the misdemeanor after his night with Yo was discovered by The People newspaper.

"There's no fool like an old fool. I'm 72 and found all the attention very flattering," Johnny told the newspaper. "To be honest, I think I was too p***ed to do anything. This was my first proper holiday as a single man and I got carried away with all the girls throwing themselves at me."

"It's all very embarrassing," he added. "I'm sorry if I've caused any hurt to my family. I've only got myself to blame. I'm doing panto this year - this is going to look very bad."

Johnny divorced his wife Christine in 2006 after nearly 30 years of marriage.
