I don't know why people are getting angry that nobody died. We were never promised deaths, maybe hinted at but nobody ever said there will be deaths.

The only thing that died was the Vic. I knew no one would die.

It was spoiled by the very hammy acting.
Barbara Windsor was much better at the end in the aftermath when she said nothing and just looked devastated but that argument with Phil was awful (even Steve McFadden over acted).
And I held a cushion up over my face when Peggy was screaming fire and ringing the bell and nobody noticed the fire behind the bar. Cringeworthy.
When it all exploded at the bar I expected to see a dummy dwarf fly over the bar with Peggy's wig on like that old woman out of emmerdale. lol

Best soap fire though, it just beat my previous favourite which was the hollyoaks fire at the dog.

i think her uttering let it burn tonight was the signal that she's going to leave, she's given up, she's lost everything, her family, her pub. She's got nothing left to stay for.
