ooOOoo, there'll be hell to pay when he gets back then! LoL, it's funny we're talking about Emmerdale in the Corrie thread, is there an Emmerdale thread even?

LoL @ your avatar, I loved explosive Maya! Where is she these days anyway? In prison?

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 12:39 AM

lol there is, I will bump it
the two shows are sister shows anyway, what happens in Emmerdale happens off screen in Corrie :b

Maya is locked up in a mental hospital

Blame that on Steve Frost! It was hardly worth getting rid of Charlie & Tracy (with no hope of her coming back for 10-15 years) just for a few good episodes!

At least Peter's back I suppose which gives the Barlows some depth, which they've lacked for the last few years.

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 12:48 AM

I remember Charlie's exit was billed as the most explosive ever....Liam's was more explosive IMO lol

Ellis 13-01-2009 12:56 AM

Yeah maybe, we got some good episodes out of it but was it really worth it?

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 12:58 AM

Yeah I know what you mean..Tracey cant make a comeback until 2021, and Charlie, well he is a gonner

Ellis 13-01-2009 01:00 AM

Have you any idea when Michelle finds out about Steve and Becki? I'm sure it will come out eventually Soapland being Soapland.

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 01:01 AM

Friday
Cant wait lol

Ellis 13-01-2009 01:05 AM

Ah, I'm glad they're not dragging it out then! I caught Eastenders the other day (I don't really watch it anymore but..) and I couldn't believe that the repercussions of Max and Stacy's fling are still going on today! They're awful for dragging storylines out for painfully long periods of time!

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 01:09 AM

Lol didnt that happen like in Summer 2007?

The Tony storyline is a slow burner though, but its got some exciting bits to keep us interested [spoil](the upcoming one Maria running Tony over then crashing, then her later forgiving Tony, also Jed's return)[/spoil]

Ellis 13-01-2009 01:12 AM

OMG! When's all that unfolding?!

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 01:13 AM

The end of this month :spin:

Ellis 13-01-2009 01:17 AM

That'll keep us gripped!

[spoil]Does Maria believe that Tony didn't kill Liam? It seems very unlikely that she'd just change her mind suddenly and then forgive him! [/spoil]

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 01:19 AM

[spoil]Well, Im not sure, but her car crash is a wake up call that she is putting little Connor's life in danger, and then she finds a very depressed Tony at Liam's grave on Maria's wedding anniversary[/spoil]

Ellis 13-01-2009 02:09 AM

Oh yeah, I forgot about Little Connor. I wonder when he/she's due...

BigSister 13-01-2009 12:17 PM

oooh that looks good

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 04:53 PM

According to the TV Times, Suranne Jones received a letter from Coronation Street's bosses asking her if she'd be interested in appearing in a spin-off DVD.

Suranne says she did wonder what would happen if Karen and Steve met up again somewhere away from the Street. She says, "I have no plans to go back, but there is the huge pull of Simon Gregson."

A Steve/Karen spin-off would be a brilliant idea - I'd buy it.

Meanwhile, read a review of Suranne's latest TV series, Unforgiven, on TV Scoop.

Have any of you bought the "Out of Africa" DVD?

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 06:18 PM

I did
I loved it :spin:

Ellis 13-01-2009 06:23 PM

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 06:24 PM

Yeah, I'd say so, its nothing dramatic, just good fun

BigSister 13-01-2009 06:40 PM

oooh that would be intresting about the steve/karen spin off

Scarlett. 13-01-2009 06:43 PM

Aye, it'd be good if it was like 'After Hours' :hello:

Scarlett. 14-01-2009 12:11 AM

I wonder what they will do instead if Suranne refuses?
Since it sounds like the 'abroad episodes' budget is now going be used for DVD's now

Peter: What in the morning?
Blanche: No 6:00 AM at night!
Deirdre: So she's managed to talk me into going staying the night at hers!
Blanche: She does that does Nancy.
Deirdre: Does she? (in a puff of smoke)
Blanche: Oh yes, renound for it. She'll be pulling that old, I'm-scared-of-sleeping-on-my-own-can-I-hop-in-with-you trick, you watch...
Ken: Nancy's not like that, is she?
Deirdre: She can't be, she's an arkala!
Peter: Well sooner you than me, unless she looks like Tyra Banks, then you count me in, you know....
Deirdre: My life just gets better!
Ken: Look I could give you a lift over in the morning.
Deirdre: What and get to Werneth by 5:30 AM?!
Ken: Oh yeah right....look, I'm sure Nancy's a lovely woman.
Blanche: She's got a cat called Navratilova, hope you're not allergic...
Deirdre: Oh shut up mother! I happen to know that Nancy lost her husband last year and his name was Phil.
Blanche: Not just short for Phillip though, is it Deirdre...
Wasn't that just the best scene ever!
