I’m conflicted with the housemates this series but if anything it was cbb21’s only weakness, things got stale in certain aspects and there was no real conflict or drama, nobody really changed or evolved as a character, nobody caved in. It just lacked any real edge tho I do appreciate that this cast for the most part is the most intelligent set of housemates yet which was a breath of fresh air

If you slapped a few kim woodburn types in that house over the more disposable ones the series could’ve been perfect. You would’ve seen different sides of people like Andrew, Shane jenek, Daniel, malika, Ann, Ashley ect ect ect emerge as a result and it’d have been a lot more engaging to watch than it was

If you strip out the 2nd show Friday, the series average officially would have been 2m. FACT.

So, maybe they should learn from that, i don't get why they do it and sandwich a show uncapable to reach 800k in between.

Obviously I agree with you on the terrible decision to split the shows but will and Grace is a success it got 1.29 I recall for its first episode and didn't the last show get 950k? So officially would probably bring it over 1 million.

People just want drama and shouting matches, crazy personalities, villains they love to hate.

Wasn't cbb13 the most popular? It actually got extended that's how popular it was and Lee ryans eviction was pushing 4 million.

C5s share did rise last year and no CBB wasn’t mentioned in it, but like said above, consistency is key. CBB getting 1.5-2m for 60 nights of the year helps hold that share up, without it their share would have been nowhere near what it is for the channel as a whole. Even if CBB isn’t at the peak of it anymore it’s still a massive part of the support

But those ratings don't justify the millions it costs.

It's gone imo and hopefully to itv2!

The last week of CBB13 is insane.

Sat - 2.61m
Sun - 3.63m
Mon - 3.49m
Tue - 3.41m
Wed - 3.71m (final)

According to Wiki, it's also the first final since BB7 to out-rate the launch (3.69m). There was such a buzz around CBB13, it felt like it was on Channel 4.

For a Saturday to get 2.61 is insane! Sadly it's more than halved!

Does anyone remember when the CBB8 launch got something like 5.1 million viewers

Imagine if that series was actually good, we may have been looking at a 3.5m-4m average if it held on to the audience like CBB13 or CBB15 did.

tbf that was because it was on a new channel, losing 2 million viewers the next day :skull:

When something is axed and comes back it tends to get good ratings and drops a lot.

I remember people talking about CBB13 and CBB15 the next day. I think the last time that happened was during BB8, and even then, that was just people complaining about how it wasn't as good as the previous year.

Those two series are probably the closest thing we'll ever get to the golden era on C5.

Brilliant launch night but to me the worst cbb series ever!

It was so bad with jedward leaving the house to go shopping, constant music compilations and a truly boring cast.

It just broke all the fundamental rules of big brother which they adopted from bb11 imo.

It sucked more than any things ever sucked before.

Final officials are in

Mon - 1.87m
Tue - 1.69m
Wed - 1.87m
Thu - 1.81m
Frid - 1.77m
Frid - 1.73m

The FULL series average is 1.896 million (so 1.9m) which puts it 100k above CBB20 and *just* above CBB16 (which rounded to 1.89), but it is still the least watched winter series ever by 0.5 million
