Still waiting on answers from Jessica but I really need to go to bed... I'll do the results for this when I get back from work tomorrow (sometime around 3pm). In the meantime, I'll post the new round to keep things rolling.

1. Name an ingredient you might need to make a birthday cake
2. Name a clothing retail chain that operates in the UK
3. Name a footballer who has scored more than 100 Premier League goals
4. Name a popular chocolate bar manufactured by 'Mars' other than the 'Mars Bar'
5. Name a subject you would study at school
6. Name an app primarily aimed at teenagers and young adults
7. Name a popular alcoholic cocktail
8. Name something you might find in a garden
9. Name something you might keep plugged in at all times
10. Name a brand of make-up/cosmetics.

Oh and for Pointless erm...

#1 - self explanatory, open to interpretation, but if you say something like "minced lamb" I will throw it out the window
#2 - must have at least 5 outlets in different towns and cities around the country
#3 - There are 29 players with 100 or more Premier League goals, and they must be goals scored after the Premier League was formed in 1992/93 (they can't have carried over from before then)
#4 - pretty self-explanatory but it must be a bar, not a bag or a lolly or whatever
#5 - I suppose this is kinda open to interpretation since there are GCSEs for increasing numbers of subjects, but I won't accept college courses in becoming a beautician, or other apprenticeships, etc, it has to be an academic subject.
#6 - again, self-explanatory, and not really much room for error
#7 - "popular" is always subjective in Pointless, if it exists in more than 1 or 2 (different chains of) bars it's obviously well known enough to count
#8 - I mean a domestic home garden here
#9 - The answer to this must be electronic, I won't allow something like "ear plugs when you work with pneumatic drills lol x"
#10 - self-explanatory

Jesus Christ, there was no point in even submitting :bawling:

Denver 02-09-2020 03:16 PM

With the amount of discussion it gets on here I thought everyone would choose superhero as a genre

Liam- 02-09-2020 03:17 PM

Did quite well aside from two questions

Denver 02-09-2020 03:19 PM

Also how is Tim Burton not the top answer

Cherie 02-09-2020 03:20 PM

TiBB never disappoints...Enchanted over Justice league :oh:

I didn't even know he had directed any Batman films, I knew the other two did though.

Enchanted is the film that made Adams famous and is her most popular.

She was barely in JL.

Niamh. 02-09-2020 03:23 PM

Oh god what a flop :laugh2: I started off really well and lost it in the second half

Had no idea, its just Marvel is so popular on here, have seen Enchanted as well lol

Mitchell 02-09-2020 03:27 PM

Well I bloody failed

Niamh. 02-09-2020 03:28 PM

I prefer Marvel films, but like others have said I would associate her much more with Enchanted, it's her film more than her having a small part in a bigger film.

Ugh that Sean Penn question though, took ages deciding between Carlito's Way and Dead Man Walking because they are surely the biggest films? Maybe my age is showing

Mitchell 02-09-2020 03:28 PM

Get the feeling I might be headed for a wrong answer in this round

Shaun 02-09-2020 03:30 PM

I think the Tim Burton ones being held in mixed reviews (and also being as far back as like, what, 1996 if not earlier?) probably made him doubtable in people's heads. The Nolan trilogy is much more recent and extremely well received, so it was a no-brainer for me.

I will spare the person who said Parasite the shame of naming them :hee:
