It wasn't a wedding it was an exchange of vows

where is the important bit about 'recollections vary'?

Yes, I don't think that ceremony was a real wedding.
It had no witnesses.

[Buckingham Palace has issued a statement
in response to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's
interview with Oprah Winfrey,
saying issues of race are "concerning" and "will be addressed".
Following the explosive interview airing
in full on UK television last night,
a palace spokesman s
aid: "The whole family is saddened to learn
the full extent of how challenging the last
few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

"The issues raised, particularly that of race,
are concerning. Whilst some recollections
may vary, they are taken very seriously and
will be addressed by the family privately.

"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."]

Thank you, a dignified and thoughtful response as usual

Yes ... that’s the key point :)

They’ve clearly had an emergency meeting and this is purely damage limitation... too little too late though.

The shockwave has spread across the world already ...

Given Megs was happy for him to walk her down the aisle I think he might have a clue!

The dignity, patience and restraint of the Queen is typical.

That selfish pair have put a 94 yr old woman through hell while her husband lies very ill in hospital....and its clear many would treat their own grandparents the same way as they don't see anything wrong with it.

It is important though, it is from 4 years ago, so unless there is audio or witnesses to the event, it is one persons word against another

and one person is carrying a teeny tiny grudge after being cut off financially

He's utterly pathetic, Alex stood up to him and made good sensible points . But spineless Piers can't handle it so he storms off like a coward .

Piers probably had a little cry behind the scenes , he's clearly still bitter about Meghan not being his friend:joker: .

For me that is the takeaway from this week

the incredibly selfish act by two people who should know better

ungrateful and downright shocking. I personally cannot understand how anyone could say what they did was positive.

The blot on their copybook will never be rubbed out or forgotton

The ‘recollections’ part suggests to me that they’ve had an emergency meeting about this and the culprit has admitted everything and now it’s damage limitation

I don't think there was any defenders of the Sussexes' who condemned this aspect, or at least I didn't see it. While I wasn't surprised by many, in other cases it was an eye - opener.

'recollections vary' suggests the person does not recall the words being used in a racist context

I think it is William, given this happened before the Wedding, and the body language of the two brothers on the day there was no issue or if there was an issue, Harry will be box office in Hollywood next, because if it was Charles, would Megs have let him walk her down the aisle

They’d remember it because it probably caused a hell of a row at the time ..

it was before the wedding but there was no rift with William or Charles at that point, seems odd don't you think?
