As someone pointed out yesterday Samsung has a new phone out which will 'doctor' photos, where is the red line here, if photoshopped photos cannot be published I look forward to the next issue of Hello and every celeb in all their eye bag glory

Tbf, I'm not a photo expert either.

Unless of course it's of a naked attractive woman that is.:dance2:

User is like Nicky in one way, they say certain things which might not always be the nicest about celebrities, but I don't believe that they really mean some of the things that they say.

I think that overall they're both harmless.

You use the tried and tested hard on on scale when appraising those photos

Never complain, never explain.

The press and public are going to have their opinions on the high-profile Royals and that's just tough ***t so Kate and Wills will just need to suck it up and stop complaining.

That's been the message for something like 5+ years at this point. They don't get to turn around and say "but you're not supposed to print stories we don't like about US!!" when the baying mobs have (inevitably) turned on them. Charles and Diana had it, Harry and Meghan had it, it's William and Kate's turn. I'm not really interested in hearing any complaining.

To some extent, I think it is.

They kind of remind me of my more trollish days on here, where I would sometimes say controversial stuff for attention.

er when we tried to explain this to the 'they are all racist' brigade when Meghan was the subject they were having none of it, Kate and Fergie have also experienced this before..... the Duchess of Pork, waitey Katie, doors to manual in reference to her mother being an air stewardess ... etc its nothing new, and tbf I dont see Wills or Kate complaining, where has that happened?

I quite clearly said "Not the UK press, and not the family themselves". The Sun is - I suppose with a very loose definition of the word "press" - the UK press, no?

In terms of William and Kate complaining, cropping your face out of an old photo and photoshopping it onto a recent picture of your kids to try to quash rumours circulating is a fairly clear indication of "being bovvered", is it not? If you happen to be naive enough to believe that Kate actually did it herself and that's not just more PR bullcrap :joker:.

You'd both be hooting your wee boots off if Meghan Markle released a photoshopped image of herself and her kids. Let's not be silly.

user104658 12-03-2024 09:40 AM

Also Cherie my point is not actually that they shouldn't be able to complain about press hounding - of COURSE they should be able to complain about it. It's awful and they all, always, should have been able to say that. They should absolutely not just have to "suck it up". "Never complain never explain" is a terrible, outdated and extremely unhealthy mantra.

My point is that they cannot now complain without being massive hypocrites and chowing down on a great big slice of humble pie. And those out to defend them both here and in general public discourse, having spent years chuckling away about the press & rumours surrounding other family members they happen to like less, are in exactly the same boat.

I think they just wanted to do something nice for Mothers day, they generally release a picture, so no I don't think they were 'bovvered'

Like just about everyone I thought everyone edited their pics before they send to posted them to anyone or anything. who posts pics they have not edited?

(is it fact her head is photoshopped or is it hearsay?)

…I think at least with this ‘royal mess of imperfection’ type thing…and a positive for the common people ..is it’s left an opening to express feelings that have been hidden and stifled and just come right out and say it….I like both Meghan and Kate, equally…and actually, most people I know, do as well…

Honestly apparently I'm much more charitable about William and Kate than you two who purportedly like and support them. I think they're very likely smart, capable, media-savvy University educated individuals and I'm 99% certain they neither edited nor released that photo and a faceless PR dope is out of a job today.

But seemingly, you both believe them to be completely unaware, naive, blundering idiots who innocently post up photoshopped pictures of a happy family in the midst of a media conspiracy.

Not very nice.

When it comes down to them as individuals in all honesty I feel like Harry and Kate would be great fun and good company at a dinner party, Meghan would be a bit irritating in that way that American people can be a bit irritating, and William (these days) seems like he probably has a huge stick lodged in his butthole ( :hehe: ).

I'll even be charitable and say that there are obvious reasons that William is a very stressed man in 2024.

It's never been about liking or disliking them, for anyone even vaguely fair-minded about the situation. What one thinks is right and fair should never be based on who they happen to like or dislike.

And the front pages of multiple tabloids. And gossip in every workplace in the country.

I know you work alone and don't really leave the house LT but I promise you this is being talked about - people are enjoying it immensely. Absolute meme-factory.
