Hopefully nothing occurs .. though there may be more people looking for trouble tonight especially as they have had all day to wind everyone up and get prepared

I saw a few online guys definitely encouraging people to be proactive.. across the whole country as well .. they seem to think that NOW is the time to show the government that the people have had enough of all these illegal immigrants coming in by boat

Fingers crossed its nice and quiet. ..

They're angry at the police. They should be angry at the government. They're so inept.

Seems there's alot of anger at both the police & government, but the police were bearing the brunt and getting attacked also.

Police are underfunded. They do what they can. Yes I agree they were scapegoats.

If this happened in the States the outcome would be different. Police are armed. They're also armed in my country.

The EDL hasn't been active for 10 years. I don't know why they brought it up.

So many stupid posts on this thread. So little time.

It’s sad to me that there’s people on here (and on the internet in general) that just see this as a reason to attack others on their personal opinions. They don’t care about what happened, they just liiiive for the drama of arguing and trying to prove people wrong. The sad thing is that it’s both sides that do this.

There are certain things that should be discussed without names being thrown around all willy nilly.

I think it is okay to question the whole open borders/letting in undocumented people by the hundreds. I don’t think it makes you a racist or a xenophobe. (Now, are some of the ppl who think like this ignorant and close minded… yes, of course. But that is the same with all arguments. There will always be extremists on either side and we cannot let the crazy few be seen as the lead examples of our views… if that makes sense)

I saw a comment about banning knives and I just… no. Are we gonna ban cars because they run people over next? Ban those hovercrafts that hamas used? Guns are illegal in the UK and there are still shootings that happen daily. (Obviously not as bad as the US, before anyone jumps on me for that :eyeroll: )

With it being 3 young girls who were killed, it makes me wonder if they were targeted for that specifically… or if it was just a coincidence that all 3 kids that died were female.

It isn’t wrong to say that some cultures and religions are waaay less accepting than others. We constantly hear about how terrible Christianity is but other (more vicious) religions that just can’t be talked about because it’s seen as racist/xenophobic/whatever, idc. It’s honestly mind boggling to me. Why can we talk **** and trash one religion but not certain others? That’s not the equality that so many say they fight for.

Open borders and allowing undocumented immigrants into the public is not smart. It just isn’t and you can complain and whine about it all ya want, but at the end of the day, it’s letting a good amount of very dangerous people enter peaceful countries and literally cause terror. Honestly I’ve always been of the opinion that if you visit a country, you should respect their beliefs and values. And that just doesn’t happen anymore. People are entitled and expect the world and law to change to what suits them. They also don’t show respect for the countries they get relocated to (Again not all, but a good majority) and this is an issue.

I’m out of energy now so that’s all I have to say… I hope it gets better but honestly… this is just the start. There are just too many undocumented civilians running rampant and I honestly don’t ever see us being able to recover from it. It’s scary

Yes I think unchecked immigration is a real problem here in the UK.
But you cant talk about it or you're called a racist.
We're just supposed to accept it. I just can't agree with it.

Totally agree with much of what you say, I just don't think the argument over undocumented people, religion, culture etc really applies here

All we know is that he was born in the UK to Rwandan parents who presumably came here legally. Rwanda is a commonwealth country and a Christian one. So what's the connection between that and large numbers of undocumented migrants from Islamic countries? Only that they're both non-white it seems

Fundamental point is that there is no indication that illegal migration or Islamic extremism are relevant factors here so it is legitimate to question the motives of people who keep focusing on those two things imo

My bad, I thought he was an illegal immigrant

Also, I don’t hate immigrants. I actually love learning about all the diverse countries and the people who come from them. But I just believe it should be done safely. I also think that it’s unbelievably complicated to do things the legal way and it shouldn’t be that hard. Esp for those who just want to be able to live and work in a peaceful country
