Not able to watch this tonight, will watch two episodes tomorrow to catch up, can't wait for Scott and Annalise to get together at last.

Like the new character Jen, how pretty is she? Love her hair :) I think her and Tilly are going to cause quite the scandal.

I like Jen and the Actress is decent too.. Btw how pointless is this fire storyline?

Phoebe was out of order:nono:, although she can redeem herself.

Hollyoaks star Mandip Gill has said that she hopes her character Phoebe Jackson will win new fans as her past is explored next week.

Phoebe opens up over her turbulent background in upcoming episodes, telling Rhys Ashworth (Andrew Moss) that her wayward mother Mel is a prostitute.

The revelation helps to explain why Phoebe was living on the streets with George Smith (Steven Roberts) when she was first introduced to viewers at the beginning of the year.

Gill told Inside Soap: "The reaction from viewers [to Phoebe] is a bit hit and miss. Steven has such a big following, and fans are very loyal to George.

"So when Phoebe's nasty to him, they tell me to stop being a bully! I hope that when they find out about Phoebe's past, they'll change their minds about her."

Rhys and his wife Jacqui (Claire Cooper) eventually agree to let Phoebe stay with them for the foreseeable future. However, Gill added that it will be interesting to see whether the teenager is free of Mel for good.

"Jacqui and Rhys convince Mel that her daughter should stay with them in Hollyoaks," the actress said. "While this could be the last we see of Mel, I don't think she'll give up easily. She doesn't want her kid, but she doesn't want to get any hassle from the authorities either."

Hollyoaks star Andrew Still has admitted that his character Joel Dexter may be in for "a long wait" as he battles to earn the respect of mentor Brendan Brady.

Brendan (Emmett Scanlan) has been putting Joel through his paces at Chez Chez in recent weeks, with the teenager keen to secure as much responsibility as possible.

However, next week's episodes see Joel pursue his own ideas as he teams up with Bart McQueen (Jonny Clarke) to put on a dubstep night at the club while Brendan is away, even though the bad boy has warned him not to.

Still told TV Times of the storyline: "Joel's fed up of Brendan talking down to him, so he's proverbially shoving two fingers up to him."

Brendan's doubts prove to be well-founded when he returns home to discover that the club night was a total disaster.

Still added: "He wants to humiliate him, and he gives him all the rubbish jobs to do. Joel's desperate to be his own man - but it looks like he's in for a long wait."

Hollyoaks star PJ Brennan has promised that there is a long journey ahead for his character Doug Carter as he wrestles with his feelings for Ste Hay.

The pair have been getting along well while launching a deli business together this year, but viewers recently saw that Doug was starting to regard Ste as more than just a friend.

Brennan, discussing the storyline for the first time, told All About Soap: "He doesn't really understand where these feelings for Ste have come from - they're completely alien to him. All Doug knows is that it's very strong and real. This is not a gay storyline - it's exploring sexuality in general."

Doug finally confesses his feelings to Ste next month, but it's clear that he is still unsure about what he wants.

Brennan continued: "Doug tries to take back his feelings, because he thinks that's what Ste wants. But Ste is also coming to the realisation that he may feel the same way about Doug. It leads to a big argument and they end up sharing one of those, 'Oh shut up' kisses. You definitely can't take that back!

Asked whether Doug is ready for a relationship with a man, he replied: "No, I think there's a lot that needs to be worked out first. Over the next few weeks, viewers will see him trying to get to grips with what's happened. Doug is quite hard on himself, so this is going to be a huge journey for him. He's about to be forced to work out exactly what it is that he wants."

Brennan also warned that there will be "trouble for everyone" when Ste's ex-lover Brendan Brady (Emmett Scanlan) inevitably finds out about the surprising developments.
