Lady GaGa's 'Bad Romance' video has been revealed as the most watched clip on YouTube ever.

The promo, which sees the singer kidnapped by supermodels and sold to the Russian mafia, has amassed almost 179,000,000 views, only marginally ahead of film showing a baby biting another child's finger.

The video was celebrated as the most-watched clip as part of YouTube's upcoming fifth birthday celebrations.

The website began in April 23, 2005, when a clip was posted of YouTube founder Jawed Karim at the zoo.

Akon is convinced Lady Gaga has scared all her music rivals into copying her sound - insisting Christina Aguilera is "trying to do the exact same thing musically".

The R&B singer takes the credit for discovering Gaga after he signed her to his KonLive label at Interscope Records in 2007 when she was dropped by another of the company's imprints.

The Poker Face hitmaker went on to become an international music sensation, and Akon is convinced her popularity is having an effect on other pop stars who are trying to compete.

Akon admits he's listened to Aguilera's upcoming album, Bionic, and he's convinced the Dirrty hitmaker is doing herself a disservice by trying to mimic Gaga's inimitable style.

He tells Details magazine, "Christina shouldn't have anything to prove or anyone to compete with. I miss the old Christina Aguilera. I like the old one better than the new one. Honestly, Gaga and Christina could probably get together and do something that's amazing. But that's impossible if they are both trying to do the same exact thing musically.

"(Aguilera is) not even any competition. You are actually giving Christina too much credit. She always had her cool little look and way about how she went about things. But soon as Gaga came out, everything switched up. Christina stepped out of her own shell to become something different. And the crazy thing is Christina is really talented.

"I think sometimes she gets insecure because of all of the success Gaga has had, not realising that she was already successful before Gaga came out."

Hmm yeah Christina is extremley talented, but I do agree that she is now kind of copying from Gaga. However, it could just be inspiration!

I thought christina was around first? She had the hair first anyway. I dont think any of them copy each other though. Its just fashion, no one copies anyone. You just do what looks good.

Christina is in no way copying GaGa. Christina even said in early 2009 she had no idea who GaGa was and she';s had this look and era planned for a very long time, since about 2006, at which point GaGa wasn't even GaGa yet.

Akon is BLATANTLY insecure one there, insecure for his artist, when he needn't be, they're both individual artists with their own visions and enough talent to share.

Why would she lie? She's been in the industry longer than Lady GaGa and Akon put together and has had this era planned for more than five years now, before the world even knew Lady GaGa, she has no reason.

Of course, she could have been lying. But then, everyone could be lying.

It's obvious that if somebody claimed she was copying Lady Gaga, she would create a reason to prove she's not. It doesn't mean it's true though.

I'm sick of the GaGa/Xtina comparisons because they're my favourite female artists.

Christina announced she was doing electro back in 2006, way before GaGa was famous.
Also, if anyone bothered to pay attention to Christina, her style of electro music, and the direction of her image+photos are COMPLETELY different to GaGa's.

The popstar passed the one billion mark for video views from a single channel.

The success of GaGa's singles 'Just Dance', 'Poker Face' and 'Bad Romance', as well as her recent collaboration with Beyoncé, have helped to elevate user views.

Trailing the 24-year-old's lead is The Twilight Saga and Soulja Boy channels at 980 million and 850 million views, respectively.

GaGa is currently on tour in support of her latest album The Fame Monster.

LADY GaGa’s world tour must be costing her a small fortune!

The Bad Romance hitmaker has been using THREE private jets as she travels the globe performing her The Monster Ball Tour.

Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell made the revelation to British newspaper The Sun.

“Our production manager was talking to hers and found out she had three 747s flying around with her,” he told the tabloid.

“I just wanted to tell her that she needs to make a dime or maybe 20 cents after the tour is over with.”

GaGa has previously admitted that her addiction to outlandish outfits has left her broke.

“I’ve gone bankrupt about four times now,” she said last year. “My manager wants to shoot me.

“Every dollar I earn goes on the show. Now we’re finally getting to a place where it’s not bankruptcy.

“Then again, with another tour coming up soon I’ll probably be homeless again.”
