As I've said so many times, like a broken record, the only thing I don't like about the whole franchise is Daniel Radcliffe

The 6th was the darkest and love how it went into Voldermorts past and all that

I honestly believe the reason they split Hallows was creative and not to cash in. There is no way on gods green earth they could fit everything from book 7 into one 2/3hr film. So much happens it would of been impossible to do. I'm glad they split it. It's a deserving end for a deserving franchise. The Twilight split on the other hand is down to the film company cashing in because it's the one.

Emma Watson us on Daybreak tomorrow :)

Vicky. 04-07-2011 11:25 PM

Yeah, I like twilight...but the last book could easily be fit into one film. yeah it would be longer than the others, but not stupidly long

I have to agree. He made improvements loads around film 3 or 4 (apart from "I'm gonna kill him" which still makes me cringe). But he is so very wooden.

Ruper Grint had the most promise acting-wise I remember him doing a few movies back when he was about 12-13 but he's not aged well. lol

I hope DR and MG do the King's Cross stuff justice if they've kept it in.
And looking at the trailer they've given him another terrible line "Let's finish this the way we started it... together" followed by ridiculous dive off the castle. So unnecessarily melodramatic.

Vicky. 04-07-2011 11:38 PM

Ahaha yeah. Daniel was really terrible in the first few films. After the first one though, it would have been pretty impossible to change him, as everyone knew him as harry potter

Jords 04-07-2011 11:39 PM

End of an era for all the main characters!

We had to watch the fourth one's cut scenes as our media studies part of English, it was probably the worst acting i've ever seen in my life, although the writing was pretty terrible too

To be fair to DR, he does play Harry's wooden side well. In the books Harry is pretty plain and boring, and sort of emotionless. Not exactly jumping with character

Oh my. I thought he was ok in that one actually :joker:

Liberty4eva 05-07-2011 12:23 AM

I think I found the latest trailer here.

I think DR has done an alright job as Harry, obviously he's not going to be exactly like the Harry everyone imagines from the book but I think he's improved a lot since PS/CoS.

Really can't wait to hear how Alexandre Desplat did with the soundtrack, must be one of the most anticipated soundtracks ever. I hope we get to hear Hedwig's Theme at least once in the film.

I know lol, I've pre-ordered it but I can't bring myself to listen to it, would spoil the film. I've heard it's brilliant though, I was really pleased with the Part 1 soundtrack so I doubt I'll be disappointed by this one.
