Glad it was ok for you in the end.

My mum did the same....luckily wasn't cancer but went for all the tests, biopsies etc on her own - like u said its what mums do.

...someone I know has just found out she has breast cancer..so she'll have the surgery just before Christmas and then the treatment will start...it's going to be a difficult time for her, but hopefully it'll be ok...I think, maybe they've caught it early enough...but you just don't know...

...these things seem to often happen around Christmas time....:'(....

..she's almost half way through her treatment and not feeling the best, which is to be expected...at least radiation therapy isn't so invasive as chemo, but it still has it's effects...the main thing is that it cleanses her body of this horrid disease, which is ruthless in choosing it's victims....

I lost my nan to cancer, it's horrible.

I have lost a lot of family members due to cancer . The two main family members I have lost are my grandad from stomach cancer and my step nan from lung cancer . Atm my great aunt is having treatment at the moment for breast cancer . My other grandad has prostate cancer .
I have never seen this thread before . I will be going on the site everyday to click
