Speaking of Joe his edit this season is nauseating, it's like every week is a circle jerk over him and how ~athletic and ~amazing he is!!!11 He had the golden boy edit in Worlds Apart too but I don't remember it being this bad

omg yes, Joe was one of my faves in Worlds Apart bc he was a decent human being (which was a rarity on his season!) who was subtly funny and kinda snarky and would just roll his eyes at all the idiots around him, but his edit is just so transparent this time around. We're supposed to all love him bc he invented hammocks or something? It's just frustrating bc we're not even getting a showcase of Joe's personality (which is a shame because I think he's fairly intelligent and articulate and I wouldn't mind hearing from him) and his edit has been reduced to a circlejerk of how amazing he is. That being said, he is NOT winning because of how hollow his edit is so if that's any consolation there ya go.

I also think Joe's extremely lucky that he was on the last season before a returnee vote because I don't think he's all that memorable nor will he have a lasting impact on the franchise. Like, someone of his demographic and look would never not get voted back (I'm sure some idiots voted for him thinking he was Malcolm or something), but he's largely benefiting from recency bias.

oh yes absolutely. Woo and Keith are two people who I didn't really care about that much on their original seasons, but I'm appreciating them a lot more this time around just by who they are and what they represent. If you remove Woo and Keith this male cast is literally the same type of person over and over again.

The Joe edit is really annoying me. I liked him in WA, but he's just so douchey and golden boy jerk type and I hope this doesn't lead him to a winner's edit. But then again he was kind of the same in WA.

Oh there is no way Joe's winning. His intro confessional was just about him trying to make it to the loved ones visit and everything since has been about other people using him as a shield because he's such a big threat. He hasn't even gotten that much insight himself about thing. Everything we know about Joe is coming from someone else and that's never a good sign, especially when you consider that if someone like Joe won he would be getting a high-vis edit like Mike or Tony.

I'm not a master of that, so thank god. I really want the Bayon women to get more screentime but I guess this invis is leading to something :/
