I'm watching two Shows at the moment as I gave up on Knights Of Sidonia Season 2.

The Night Agent - I've watched the first two episodes so far, and it's okay.

It isn't blowing it out of the water for me so far, but it's watchable.

Kingdom - Not to be confused with the Japanese Anime Kingdom or the American Kingdom, or the Argentine Kingdom.

This particular Kingdom is a Korean Historical Political Fantasy series that is very much GOT meets TWD, and imo some of both Shows best aspects are very much in play in Kingdom in the first two episodes.

You've got GOT Political strife for the throne aspect, whilst the Zombies are running rampant as the B-plot.

I haven't watched the third episode yet, but I am very much excited to see where this Show goes next.

Silo - I read the books (or at least 3 of them years ago) I have a hazy recollection of them only, series is decent so far

From - This is really good so far, nice horror type series

Ive watched the first episode of Silo, it's worth watching. It seems there have been a few series released recently that are worth a look

I've finished two Korean Shows recently.

1. Kingdom - Imo a borderline masterpiece.

2. Beyond Evil - A very good Show, Lee Dong Sik & Han Ju Won are very good leads imo. It's very twist heavy though as a warning to anyone that doesn't like that type of writing.

And I'm on a hiatus with The Night Agent at the moment, I'm undecided on if I should finish that off or not.

And Niamh I agree with you about From, I haven't watched Silo tbf so I can't judge that Show either way.

Just started watching Catastrophe, it's pretty funny so far

Yes! That wasn’t too long ago. Hilarious.

Recent episode was where Ros meets her baby’s grandparents with the huge noses - absolutely hysterical! :joker:

Just catching up with the final series of Succession. Half way through and I think it's very poor compared to previous series

Zizu 01-06-2023 08:52 AM

Soooo I am going through a serious phase of escapism to take my mind off things …

Watched the box set of the 5 Twilight movies over a few evenings - worked a treat ..

Soooo obviously I went straight into the Vampire Diaries !!

There’s about 8 series which is great as it will hopefully keep me interested for some time …

I actually tried this years ago as I was into True Blood at the and rather enjoyed both of them .. I watched True Blood till the end but gave up on Vampire Diaries after a series or two … no idea why

I've watched 13 episodes of The Guest, and yes I'm going through a Korean Show binge lol.

I'd say with The Guest that it can appear to be a bit slow for the first half hour of episode 1, but once you get past that period it just gets better and better, if you're into Horror/exorcisms anyway.

I'd say that even the first half hour of episode 1 ages well once you start to understand it's importance to the story more deeply.

It's a 16 episode Season so it's not too long.

Well I've finished Mouse on my pilgrimage through Korean Dramas.

A very good Show, it's overall quality might not show itself immediately, but it truly is a masterpiece in fiction.

The ending was also sad imo, and not really the type of character you'd expect to be sad for either, which is a sign of a very strong writer in my view.

I've got to say though I'm having a blast with the Korean Shows at the moment, they're in general in a much better state than UK & US TV, and there I say it but they might be on better form than Japanese Anime as well.

It definitely feels like Korean TV is in it's own golden age.

Finally getting round to watching Killing Eve, it took a while to get through Season 1 and get into to it but I'm liking S2 a lot more

What is driving me bonkers is the way its been shot, i dont know how to describe it but its like a 1970s ITV sunday night thriller - like they have used an old cinefilm camera?

It does look a little low budget, alright

The young reporter girl is a terrible actress, I do however love the Vicars wife and the guy in jail

I like the kidnapped woman

Her mam is also in the show and she is funny too.

I recommend this show for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Just finished watching series 4 of Meet the Richardsons.

It's the best British TV show I've seen in the past 5 years.

It's very good, I highly recommend it. I think most of you on the forum will like it very much.
