That was hilarious

So many embarrassing moments for the winners this season, I feel like so far everyone who has been eliminated has been made a bit of a mockery of, and I fear that Michelle's time will end with her flipping a coin and her not being safe :(

Wizard. 09-04-2020 03:45 PM

I really did want that podium to be an idol though, just for the fumes and also Nick gets on my nerves more with his moping.

Braden 09-04-2020 04:05 PM

I have 4 episodes of this to catch-up with but I saw the most recent tribal council and couldn’t believe it. I have to give Adam credit because he really has provided this season —he’s generally a harmless character—and the podium/idol play was hilarious.

However, what happened to the good old days where people knew who they were voting for pre-tribal? I used to enjoy the chaotic whispering, but we don’t even know what any of them are saying and it’s just meaningless tosh to build suspense.

Gonna catch-up soon but don’t know whether to wait till the season is over.

Do we know what's happening with the final? And has S41 been postponed?

Here for a crowning in a Zoom video conference call
The mess of 20 contestants + Jeff shouting tf out in their microphones wearing tribal stuff to make it "exotic" :joker:

In France, they delayed the taping of the 2021 season. Thankfully the contestants were not in Fiji already, only staff and production members doing pre-show work. They have all been sent back to France safely. So I guess the same is happening with Survivor. We also stopped taping the Amazing Race, but contestants were already competing. A mess :skull:

Btw, a bit scared for Big Brother. I read on some forums that they will be delaying to August/fall, as Big Brother seems to be a slot filler when there are no shows to air, because a lot of tv series can't be filmed currently.

41 + 42 filming has been delayed so it's looking like they will not be survivor 41 this year.

Captain.Remy 09-04-2020 04:57 PM

And do we know when the second contestant from EoE will return? I guess not next week, but not too long after would be good. We don't want somebody coming back during final 5 :skull:

That kind of confirms that BB will happen in fall then. They will need something to fill the time slot with.
At least the casting crew will have more time to gather a much better cast than BB21 lol

PS: were there any themes leaked for 41 and 42?

I don't mind Nick being a petulant brat after the votes don't go his way because A) this apparently happened a lot in DvG but they had to downplay it bc of his winner's edit, and B) if he doesn't care about being left out of the vote, why should I care about the vote at all? Survivor needs emotion to be compelling!

I can't stand the live TCs and chaotic whispering. The show clearly places a high premium on CHAOS and SCRAMBLING but there's nothing compelling about watching people run across a television set whispering into each other's ears. It's usually just a huge waste of time and doesn't actually you anything about what's actually happening.

Last night's was definitely more tolerable because it just served as the backdrop to Ben yelling at Adam, but the point still stands.

What's even more frustrating about this is that TAR32 already filmed and they're just not airing it for whatever reason. It would be perfect filler since all the TV networks are scrambling to find ways to fill their hours, but instead CBS just wants to give us Pit Stop pictures that we can use as Zoom backgrounds, which is hilariously tone deaf and insulting to the fanbase.

Can we discuss the overuse of that dumb Winners at War soundtrack song.

Acting like it's the hunger games or some ****.

Idk for sure about when the returnee will come back but I've read spoilers and this is when I think it's happening:

Spoiler:

After 6th place is eliminated, at F5, to get back to 6 people. Original 6th place will then technically be 7th place... (not positive tho)

Macie Lightfoot 09-04-2020 05:48 PM

Yeah I don't see any reason to believe that the second returnee won't enter at the beginning of the finale like last year, because I'm sure the logic in their mind is to make it as easy for Rob as possible.

It's heinous :bawling::skull:
They overplay it and in the meantime we still don't have proper opening credits. wtf.

Yes he was rude to Adam :idc:

Calderyon 10-04-2020 07:41 PM

Adam leaving was predictable, even though lots of things happened.

I think either Nick, Ben, Denise or Tyson leaves next. Nick seems to always be a target, Ben is a wildcard, Denise is too big of a physical threat and she has made the biggest move of the season so far and Tyson is a huge jury threat, strategic threat and physical threat.

If they want to split Sophie and Sarah, I think Sarah is more of a possibility to leave.

Would have said Michele, but her edit is quite strong and also her is going to used at some point, so I don't see her going anywhere before that. Sophie was almost non existent in this episode, but her edit has been quite strong up until now. Tony, Kim and Jeremy have strong edits too so far. The next episode preview however was somewhat interesting.

In order of likely hood of voted off next imo:

Nick - Most likely
Ben
Denise
Tyson
Sarah
Tony
Sophie
Kim
Michele
Jeremy - Least likely

Are they talking about corona right now or is it just the CBS news

JerseyWins 16-04-2020 12:03 AM

These family visits are so repetitive and tbh a bit of a drag but I'm looking forward to this one for some reason... maybe that it's all returnees.

I wanna see Tony's family, let's get to that :clap1:

Aaaaaaand that's literally half the episode gone :skull:

That's why I don't like these family visits :joker: Same thing over and over again and it wastes a ton of time.

JerseyWins 16-04-2020 12:44 AM
