I would have thought that the government could set up a system for the key workers so they’re guaranteed food ..

It took longer than usual but it was safer

Do people not keep food in their house? There's always something kicking around here, I'd never buy "today's food" each day :s

or maybe we could stop expecting the Government to pick up every last thread and practice a bit of restraint

Managed to get 12 eggs and salad at this time in Tesco so I've got my weekly shop over 2 days and 8 shops

we need stronger people than that in a crisis

I'd like to see you do her job,..stronger people than that pffft!

honestly, i think that is just a weak moment where general stress and worry have overcome her. She is dealing with things at work she probably never experienced before under tremendous pressure. Someone just needed to sit her down with a cup of tea

People are selfish and that won’t change .

Just seems obvious to provide the key workers with their food needs

We are also spending far much time and petrol dashing from one place to the next just to try and find some basics

Still can’t get any paracetamol anywhere or toilet rolls obviously

I need to go out to look for some essentials

Denver 21-03-2020 12:06 PM

If you need toilet roll try Farmfoods, the one near me keeps them in the back and you have to ask that way they make sure one or family or whoever's you travel with

Beso 21-03-2020 12:10 PM

Just been to the shop...I panicked when I got there so just bought a large bottle of gin and left.

Josy 21-03-2020 12:12 PM

The Asda we went to was surprisingly very well stocked the only things they never had was toilet or kitchen roll, the place was absolutely mobbed though, people stopping in the aisles to chat to folk they know etc :/

Get what you need and get home you absolute twats

No Arista, it's about lack of basic common sense, judgments and compassion for others

Very soon, it won't really matter what you have in life.....this virus doesn't discriminate. You could very well be insulting people you later have to rely on or ask for something.

People are panicking....they could be suffering from high levels of anxiety....#bekind

Vanessa 21-03-2020 12:42 PM

I haven't been able to buy eggs for ages. I'll try my local shop. They seem to have everything.

I agree. There's no need to buy that much. And they're even buying things that have a short shelf life. What a waste!

I was in asda and a woman had 10 bottles of water in her trolley bearing in my mind there is a 3 item limit and a young asian lady told her she was being selfish and to put some back when the woman said her grandparents thought in the war while hers came over stealing jobs so she was more entitled to it then the woman said they will just take them away anyway and she said it doesnt matter I have 3 months worth in the garage at home

Surely the supermarkets can get their heads together and deliver essentials directly to the hospitals.
All N.H.S. staff have I.D.badges that can be shown. They could then shop either before or after a shift.
We are all going to be depending highly on our NHS to get us through this awful time, so let’s all get behind them.
Someone start a petition online.
