Sooooo just said in the daily briefing that things won’t improve until mid Feb when we’ve vaccinated the 15 million most vulnerable people ...but hopefully they’ve all been keeping themselves safe at home for most of the time and they’re not the ones currently spreading the infection .... so what difference will all those vaccines do to the massive numbers of daily infections ??

So I have asked TS twice now how his Mrs got on, can we assume she is galloping around the house neighing due to his lack of response :worry:

Researchers at the University of Birmingham say they have developed a Covid test that delivers results in just FIVE MINUTES.
The development, hailed as a world first, could be the breakthrough to help get more people safely back to work and play, and control outbreaks more effectively. It is on course to be fully tested and ready by Easter, say the scientists involved - including a PHD student. The test could be game-changing, offering on the spot results for airports, restaurants, schools, workplaces and events as well as in healthcare and hospital settings. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/new...tists-19565500 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
CNN)A leading Chinese Covid-19 vaccine developed by Sinovac Biotech was just 50.38% effective in late-stage trials in Brazil, significantly lower than earlier results showed, according to a statement published by the government of Sao Paulo Tuesday.
While the number exceeds the threshold required for regulatory approval, it falls far below the 78% previously announced, raising questions as to the veracity of the data and fueling skepticism over the apparent lack of transparency regarding Chinese vaccines.
