So I'm not much of a Drag Race person BUT If would most definitely be my Lip Sync for Your Life song so I ended up watching and Aquaria destroyed Eureka? It was a definitely a bit messy but she actually embodied the song and hit some good moves and lip synced well. All Eureka did was prance around the stage, change costumes way many times, and then do the same high kick into split combo like twice.

Watched the finale this morning and it has been a mere afterthought tbh. Not sure if it's because Aquaria winning was an obvious outcome, or due to the finale itself being an anti-climax in comparison to the reunion. The first half felt a bit filler, as the final four interviews were out of place without the rest of the cast being spoken too like previous seasons. The S1 queens returning was cool. Loved seeing Nina back, but Tammie was missed.

As for the lip-syncs, I definitely think Aquaria beat Eureka in the first one. Her dance moves did fit the rhythm of the music more effectively, whereas Eureka was basically showing off and (as Macie said) not embodying the song. Kameron did better than Asia for obvious reasons. It's a shame because I thought the lip-sync was going to be tight, but the butterflies were just a terrible idea. The concept wouldn't have fit either Janet Jackson song anyway. Tbh, I think reveals and props should be banned from finale lip-syncs. They've become too ostentatious, do not reflect how talented the queens are and detract from the simplicity of an entertaining lip-sync performance. It turned into a slight mess, though I think Aquaria was smart with her reveals in the same way Sasha was. Still, nothing was iconic as the rose petals were.

Monet winning Miss Congeniality was a bit disappointing. I admire her, but wish someone like Monique or Cracker won it.

Two queens that weren't really that congenial? Why?

Monique, god love her, spent way too much time complaining about her lack of resources and not getting "top" critiques early on. She was good fun but not someone that stood out for being helpful and kind. Cracker... is probably the least deserving of the entire cast? The bitterness post-season is STRONG and she's just not...good.

I think Blair, Mayhem, Monet and Aquaria (and Asia but she kinda ruined it by coming for everyone after she helped everyone :p) seemed the nicest/most supportive.

Because I'm allowed my opinion and it's been pretty obvious from S2 that Miss Congeniality is a fan favourite award. If the vote is open to fans, I'm gonna vote for who I like the most. I wasn't there and have no evidence on who was congenial, lol.

Fan favourites always do well by the sheer nature of having the most fans, though, it makes sense to reclaim the award and give it someone actually deserving so we don't have another Valentina/Katya situation :shrug: (I know Katya WAS nice but she was no way more supportive than Fame/Jaidynn, lol)

Only ones I think they've made the right decision are with Cynthia, Ivy, Latrice and Yara tbf. Dela deserved it but I think Joslyn edged her in terms of kindness.

Hopefully they’ll learn from this and do 2 separate votes now for Miss C by the cast and Fan favourite - if they can afford giving 10k away for winning a Lipsync they can afford it for that

I was in Oslo to see the Werq the World tour (no more seat in Paris so I took my ass to Norway lmao) and it was SO obvious Aquaria was the winner.

First of all, everybody thought it was weird they brought Aquaria for dates on the european leg a few days after taping. And let me tell you, people went WILD when she appeared and performed. When Shangela said "maybe that bitch won?", Aquaria's reaction was like "of couse I did gurl" and people went crazy.

Secondly, she performed amazingly and she is phenomenal on stage, whether you like her personality or not. On that night, a lot of people agreed she gave Shangela and Violet a run for their money, if not better. She is going to bring Ru a lot of money, she is an amazing performer and that's all there is to it. An obvious but deserving winner.

PS: Aquaria never lyp synched yet murdered both Kameron and Eureka who brought nothing new to take their biggest competition down. Haters gonna hate.
And heartbroken for Asia as well, she gonna win All Stars though.

I feel as if 'Miss Congeniality' was just a term they used because it links to drag pageants, but it has always resulted in the most popular queen winning (Cynthia was the only one that took me by surprise, in which I felt people actually chose someone based purely on niceness). I don't mind the most congenial queen winning, but it should've always been voted for by the other queens.

Valentina is next, then Nina Bo'Nina Brown, then Kim Chi, then Asia ;)

Come on she deserves it! In Oslo I saw she improved her dance moves...kinda :shrug::joker: Yet she had the biggest applause.
I guess there is always that one contestant in a reality tv show that people warm the most to or feel very supportive regardless of many show components.

If AS3 proved anything its that if they want someone to win, they’ll make sure that person wins - so if Kim agreed she’s popular enough to win it

Come to think of it, I wonder if the jury would've actually voted Ben for the top 2 if she hadn't self-eliminated (and sent home Kennedy instead, as we imagine she probably would've done, if forced) :think: The "vote for Kennedy" sympathy thing would've been out the window, but would they have gone for Shangela or Ben :think: (or Bebe, in Morgan's case)

As much as I didn't want her to win, Aquaria really knew what to do to win whereas Kameron and Eureka really didn't, so congrats to her.

I’d imagine it would have been Shangela and Trixie - The queens voting for Bebe would be too unbelievable and they could not justify Ben being top 2 and not winning, and she was never going to win I don’t think

Trixie and Ben may have been the top 2 for the acting challenge anyway as that’s Ben’s strong point and everyone else was pretty awful, Shangela literally was just herself - Trixie could have won that Lipsync then it was more even in the final
