It doesn't sound like she wanted them to fawn over her she just wanted to meet them which I am sure most fans would.

I have actually been in a position where I waited for a celebrity for ages at a meet and greet and they didn't even look up at me or anyone I saw when we waited in line. It wasn't nice trying to tell somebody how much you enjoy their music and support them only to feel like they couldn't care less.
