Meet me next Christmas, proper cute smaltz

Ammi 22-12-2024 04:52 PM

Pig……it was such a completely different movie/storyline but in a good way, I thought…Nicholas Cage didn’t do his overacting type self…(…which I also like…)…but this was just a very quiet and interesting character and essentially a lot about grief and finding a path beyond that grief…also about a truffle pig who became a ‘companion’, really….someone to ease that loneliness …I think 7.5/10, actually…I liked it….

Ammi 24-12-2024 04:24 AM

…Ideal Home……I liked it, it was just easy and charming and sweet but it also had those touching moments as well…Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan worked well together and had good chemistry and yeah, just an easy movie/story that ticked along in sweet watch..6.5/10….

Cherie 27-12-2024 10:02 AM

Juror 2 and Conclave were our Christmas Day and Boxing Day movies, both a solid 7.5

Cherie 27-12-2024 10:04 AM

Also watched the Holiday right to the end, started it a few times, but Jude Law is teasing a sequel so it had to be done, a solid 6

Jude Law is apparently starring in the Dexter prequel - Original Sin

Ammi 29-12-2024 04:27 AM

…The Good Nurse……a true terrifying story of many sudden hospital deaths and all surrounding one nurse …it’s horrific as to how much suspicion was evoked and yet not investigated until it continued and continued..great cast of Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain…just a very absorbing but disturbing story…8/10…

Sticks 29-12-2024 05:21 AM

Is it based on anyone?

Ammi 29-12-2024 05:28 AM

…yeah sorry Sticks, I should have said that it’s based on an American serial killer called Charles Cullen…

Vanessa 29-12-2024 01:06 PM

The Godfather. Was on last night. Probably my favorite movie of all time. I love everything about it. The story, cast, music. As perfect as you can get from a movie

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 29-12-2024 10:20 PM

The whole truth with Keanu Reeves
Patriots day with Mark Walhberg

Ammi 31-12-2024 07:45 AM

White Bird……what can I say…very, very heart touching/heart breaking and emotional …we should never be watching stories like this that have so much truth in them but sadly ….the contrast though of the very worst and the very best of humans…8/10…

Vanessa 31-12-2024 08:58 AM

Point Break. Probably my favorite Patrick Swayze movie. He's so good in this and I love Keanu Reeves.
Another great Gary Busey movie, he was a brilliant actor back on the day before his accident.

The Godfather part 2. That may be the best sequel in movie history. Absolutely fantastic.

Niamh. 01-01-2025 09:38 AM

The Substance - so weird but very different 8/10

Watched Godfather 3 yesterday. I found it boring. But in all fairness haven't watched the first 2 in years so I might need a refresher before judging part 3 hehe

The only good thing about that movie is Andy Garcia :flutter:
