(As mentioned above)

Terrible news today for Kym Marsh and her partner Jamie Lomas. Kym gave birth to a little boy, Archie Jay Lomas, last night. The baby was 18 weeks premature, and sadly he died soon afterwards. The couple said, "Archie is our beautiful angel and we will miss him so much."

I'm sure all Corrie fans send their condolences to Kym and Jamie

Corrie bosses have hit back at claims that Anne Kirkbride is ready to leave the Street.

Newspapers have implied the actress will soon leave the cobbles as she’s tired of her role as Deirdre Barlow.

A Coronation Street spokesman said: “Anne is very happy at Coronation Street and has indicated her commitment to the show as we head towards the 50th anniversary in December 2010. As everyone is aware, the Barlows will be very much part of the storylines leading up the anniversary.”

Corkie 12-02-2009 09:12 PM

I like the Barlows bar Ken. He is just sooo annoying.
And I hate the way he is so arrogent lol.

But I do feel sorry for the actor about losing his wife.

CORRIE greasemonkey Kevin Webster will be servicing more than just cars this summer — when he starts a love affair with business partner Tyrone Dobbs’ wife Molly.

The wrinkly mechanic, 43, played by Michael Le Vell, gets the hots for Molly during late night sessions cooking the books for the garage.

They will start an affair despite their 20-year age gap, duping nice-but-dim Tyrone — actor Alan Halsall.

And producers are even considering having Molly, 23, get PREGNANT — leading to a battle over paternity.

The fling is set to send shockwaves through the Street. Lovebirds Tyrone, 26, and Molly (Vicky Binns) got hitched just last month on the ITV1 soap.

A top insider told TV Biz: “Molly and Tyrone looked all set to be the Street’s new Jack and Vera. Everyone thought they were for keeps.

“Their relationship has had its ups and downs but until now they have been totally devoted to each other.”

Custody

The source added: “Molly and Kevin’s affair will be compulsive viewing and will certainly get people talking. It’s a real shocker.

“One of the future possibilities being discussed for Molly is to have her falling pregnant but not knowing whether Kevin or Tyrone is the father.

“It’ll most likely end with a DNA test and a bitter custody battle. The storyline will run for ages and have viewers on the edge of their seats for months and months.”

And if Kevin’s wife Sally — played by Sally Whittaker — discovers his affair with Molly, it will spell more relationship trouble.

The Websters have teenage daughters Rosie and Sophie and married for the second time in 2001.

Sally had finally forgiven him for an affair with former business partner Natalie Horrocks — actress Denise Welsh — which led to their divorce 12 years ago.

And if Sally discovers what’s really going on, they could be headed back to the divorce courts.

Molly and Tyrone’s fairytale wedding on January 12 was paid for by a string of dodgy deals.

And the groom almost missed the church ceremony when the last money-spinning scam he had set up went wrong just minutes before he was due at the altar.

Tom4784 12-02-2009 11:29 PM

oh boo, Everyone likes Molly and Ty as a couple why bother with this storyline?

Scarlett. 12-02-2009 11:37 PM

It's only been a month since Coronation Street's Steve McDonald fought with Lloyd Mullaney after he found out his business partner was romancing his mother Liz.

But it appears tensions between the two friends are running high again after they end up in a vicious brawl in the street.

Rovers Return owner Steve (Simon Gregson) is horrified when he finds out his friend Lloyd (Craig Charles) has placed a bet on his forthcoming marriage to Becky Granger (Katherine Kelly) going ahead.

The two actors were spotted on location in Manchester last night, filming scenes up an upcoming episode of Corrie.

After announcing his engagement to Becky following their secret affair behind the back of his live-in fiancee Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh), Steve invites his mother Liz and Lloyd for a celebratory meal.

The intimate meal for four at a Chinese restaurant in Manchester soon turns sour after Steve discovers Lloyd is unconvinced he will end up happily ever after with ex-con Becky.

After Steve hits out at Lloyd, the two men are forced to take their fight into the street as a horrified Liz tries to stop the two men in her life going for each other.

Steve ends up the worst off following the fight and ends up with both a black eye and the bill to pay for after his annoyed fiancee flees in a taxi.

Meanwhile, Lloyd swiftly makes it up to his new girlfriend Liz with a kiss as her son is left smarting.
Corrie fight

Lets get ready to rumble: Steve takes off his suit jacket to fight with Lloyd in the street

A close observer of Steve's complicated lovelife, Lloyd was unimpressed when Steve dumped pretty barmaid Michelle for tough girl Becky.

Steve initially cheated on Michelle with Becky last summer, which provided a useful blackmail tool for the feisty blonde after she was arrested for causing criminal damage.

After forcing Steve to give her an alibi for the night of the crime, Becky escaped prosecution during her October trial and celebrated by giving him a kiss.

The two then embarked on a secret two month affair before Becky tired of waiting for Steve to end his engagement to Michelle and reconciled with former lover Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas).

After finally splitting from Michelle last month, Steve has spent the past few weeks trying to win Becky back.

In episodes on ITV1 tonight, viewers will see Becky receive proposals of marriage from both Jason and Steve.

But of course, Becky will choose Steve after realising he's her soulmate.

The fight episode will be screened in an upcoming episode of Coronation Street next month.

It’s the day of Gary’s court case and there are mixed feelings on Coronation Street. Gary (Mikey North) is scared stiff he is going to be sent down and David (Jack P Shepherd) is worried that Tina is not going to turn up. Joe (Reece Dinsdale) is feeling guilty about the pressure he is putting on his daughter and Anna (Debbie Rush) is trying to comfort her family. At the courthouse Gary and David goad each other about the trial as Gary grows in confidence for every minute that Tina doesn’t show. Will she turn up and take to the stand?

Ken (William Roache) admits to Ted (Michael Byrne) that he has feelings for Martha (Stephanie Beacham) but that he doesn’t want to hurt Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride). Ted suggests that Ken tell Martha that he just want to be friends but will Ken have the courage to do the right thing?

Steve (Simon Gregson) offers to buy Becky (Katherine Kelly) a new engagement ring but she insists that she is happy with Michelle’s old one. She’s not so relaxed about the wedding though after going to the registry office and booking it for Friday 13th March - she is already panicking about the day being unlucky.

Graeme (Craig Gazey) manages to impress the neighbours with his knowledge of gardening when he helps Colin (Edward de Souza) fit a window box for Rita (Barbara Knox). But, as usual, Norris (Malcom Hebdon) finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time with disastrous consequences.

Elsewhere Luke (Craig Kelly) persuades the girls to work some overtime after he secures a big order from a local company.

This episode is written by David Bowker and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Pip Short.

***PI for the rest of the week follows***

Monday 2 March 8.30pm

David (Jack P Shepherd) is thrilled and relieved as Tina (Michelle Keegan) arrives in court in the nick of time. Gary (Mikey North) however is devastated but after David takes the stand and tells the court that Gary started the fight Tina realizes she can’t keep lying and tells the jury that it was David who threw the first punch. Who will the jury believe and will David and Tina’s relationship recover from the ‘betrayal’?

The harmonious atmosphere that Luke (Craig Kelly) has brought to the factory doesn’t last long as Rosie (Helen Flanagan) feels her nose is being pushed out of joint by Julie’s working relationship with the new boss. As Luke turns to Julie (Katy Cavanagh) to help him sort out the overtime, Rosie taunts Janice (Vicky Entwistle) about her lack of education. But ever the peacemaker Luke steps in and offers to send Janice on a first aid course. Meanwhile Luke plays the long game when Maria (Samia Smith) tells him that she wants more time to think about his offer to buy Lad Rags.

Graeme (Craig Gazey) puts the finishing touches to Rita’s window box but Norris (Malcom Hebdon) is still suffering and is forced to wear a brace after the compost accident.

Liz (Beverly Callard) discovers that Lloyd (Craig Charles) lied to her about Friday – he said he was working and she discovers that this wasn’t the case at all – what is he up to?

Elsewhere Leanne (Jane Danson) gets a job offer running a restaurant in Leeds.

This episode is written by Lucy Gannon and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Pip Short.

Wednesday 4 March 7.30pm

The fallout from the court case continues to cause problems as the Platts and the Windasses return to Coronation Street. Gail (Helen Worth) is stunned to discover that David (Jack P Shepherd) asked Tina (Michelle Keegan) to lie for him and a row breaks out resulting in accusations being thrown. None of this is helped by the arrival of Gary Windass (Mikey North) back on the street and he takes great delight in taunting David. This proves too much for Tina and when David accuses her of fancying Gary she tells him it is over.

Leanne (Jane Danson) is wondering what to do about the job offer in Leeds when she gets a call from Peter saying he’ll be home tomorrow. She decides to turn down the offer and stay in Weatherfield to be with Peter and Simon.

Luke (Craig Kelly) is continuing to impress the locals and Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) is less than impressed when he finds Tara (Ayesha Dharker) flirting with him. Tara decides to try her luck with Dev whilst he is feeling jealous and asks him about funding an art gallery she wants to set up – Dev is distracted though when he gets an email from his Uncle Umed in India saying he is coming to stay.

Elsewhere Norris (Malcom Hebdon) is surprised when Mary (Patty Clare) tells him that he mother is moving into a home and invites him to go travelling with her in the motor home.

This episode is written by Peter Whalley and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Pip Short.

Friday 6 March 7.30pm

David (Jack P Shepherd) is furious with Tina (Michelle Keegan) and blames her for betraying him and Joe (Reece Dinsdale) for encouraging her. Gail (Helen Worth) tells David that he has got no one to blame but himself for Tina walking out. Meanwhile and insensitive Graeme (Criag Gazey) tells David he is going to make a move on Tina now that she is a free agent. Despite her anger at her son Gail tries to talk to Tina to get her to give David another chance but she is thwarted by the arrival of Graeme with flowers.

Peter (Chris Gascoyne) arrives home from Portsmouth and Leanne (Jane Danson) is delighted to see him. He tells her that it was only the thought of her and Simon (Alexander Bain) that kept him going whilst he was in rehab – they spend the afternoon in bed unaware that a woman has arrived on the street looking for Peter.

Norris (Malcom Hebdon) and Mary (Patty Clare) go for a practice run in the motor home and Norris tells a thrilled Mary that he would love to go travelling with her. Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) is worried however that Norris has only agreed to something so drastic because he feels side-lined by Colin’s relationship with Rita (Barbara Knox). Is she right?

Elsewhere Becky (Katherine Kelly) asks Hayley (Julie Hesmondhlagh) if she will make her a wedding dress covered in sequins and Ken (William Roache) lies to Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) saying he is going to the cinema when really he is visiting Martha (Stephanie Beacham).

This episode is written by Julie Jones and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Pip Short.

Friday 6 March 8.30pm

Leanne (Jane Danson) is completely thrown when a woman called Christina (Sarah-Jayne Steed) turns up at the bookies asking after Peter (Chris Gascoyne) – she explains how they have just spent a couple of weeks on her father’s yacht together. After initially denying that he knows Christina, Peter is forced to come clean and admits that he left rehab to crew a yacht with a mate and ended up having a fling with Christina. How will Leanne react to this bombshell after she looked after his son and shop whilst he was away?

Oblivious to what is going on at the bookies Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) tells a distracted Ken (William Roache) how well Peter and Leanne are getting on – little does she know that the sins of the father have been repeated by the son and are still being repeated by the father.

Roy (David Nielson) does his best to try and convince Liz (Beverly Callard) that Becky (Katherine Kelly) has a heart of gold and that Liz should really try and see the good in her. Meanwhile Lloyd (Craig Kelly) confesses that he lied about his whereabouts on Friday because he was skint and couldn’t afford to take her out.

Norris (Malcom Hebdon) and Mary (Patty Clare) discuss the places they could visit in the motor home but Rita (Barbara Knox) is quietly worried that Norris’s heart is really not in this road trip.

This episode is written by Peter Whalley and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Pip Short.
