I don't mind making a name up.

How about The Base? I dunno.

A trial's worth a try I think and if that doesn't work the old threads can be re-opened although I think things can be settled without changing things majorly.

It's not going to happen, because the BH members who don't want it to happen clearly have the staff running scared. Marc has just illustrated this by his reluctance to be the one to close it.

Billy 22-12-2009 02:47 PM

So basically it's the BH running TIBB, not the mods and admins, noice.

Sexy, I asked you something in the Brotherhood Compromise Poll, it seems rather appropriate to what you want.

Locke. 22-12-2009 02:48 PM

If we was running TiBB this thread would have been locked last night.

Dictator! Scared of opposition! :joker:

Marc 22-12-2009 02:50 PM

lili If you want the BH closed then refer to one of the Admins.

As I have said I am neutral christ alive.

lily. 22-12-2009 02:51 PM

You are neutral Marc, but you have expressed unwillingness to close it for fear of repercussions. That speaks volumes to be honest. I refer you to this post:

Well no actually, this was all discussed last night and I thought we'd already got to the bottom of it, so clearly not.

And yeah terrified of some random woman on a forum that I'd never even heard of before today.

Yes to them and to the rest of the forum as a result of the BH's consequential actions.

EDIT: they would also see it as me doing 'you' a favour, and they would therefore feel I was being bias towards yourself

lily. 22-12-2009 02:53 PM

Marc, do you think that's a good situation?

Far too tough and macho to be scared of a mere woman! :joker:

He said it because he is right. It would create madness. And you don't want that do you ?

1. I haven't personally asked you to close it.

2. No matter whether you close it or not, someone is going to accuse you of bias.

3. Your reasons for not closing it were based on how the BH would react.

Don't you ever change your speech ? No one is scared of you and no one knew you until today so stop being so self focussed and get real. We are actually having a good debate so don't spam it please.

Yeah and I believe that closing it would be bad for the WHOLE FORUM. Not for the BH members because I know they wouldn't be happy thus they would create tension throughout the forum and will probably just make another thread.

Do you think it's a good situation when staff fear reprisals from a large forum clique?

Is that a threat?

Tom4784 22-12-2009 02:56 PM

I've said it before but instead of radical action just get a mod to keep an eye out for trouble in the thread, get someone like Vicky who doesn't post as much on the main boards but it neutral do it or something. Then there's no bias and everyone's happy.

lily. 22-12-2009 02:56 PM

Why should a mod constantly be watching one thread?

Why can't we all integrate? Why is that so unthinkable?

Well let me ask you this... have any of the Admins done anything about it? Has any other super-mod been in this thread trying to somewhat settle this problem?

I personally think that what I have said previous to this comment... chaos etc. is enough to influence my actions.

Oh shut up! I neither expect or want anyone to be scared of me! Isn't that more the 'brotherhoods' style! I have been in on this debate from very early on - so don't continue with your attempts to undermine my views!

I'd be more courteous to a lady who's owned you for the last couple of hours Remy or else she might go off on another one.
