Happy 28th Birthday to Darren Fletcher today:), awesome and underrated player.

Hope he gets well soon, has a good day and enjoys his rest/role with the United reserves.

His attitude stinks and he's a chav. Perhaps this is why.

About the match last night, decent win. Dominated possession at some points. Twice we had 72% possession.

Pogba did very well when he came on also.

Yeah, because Rooney is guilty of witness intimidation, coaches don't speak to him, and he's a part of a mob.

Oh wait, actually, he isn't.

Maybe, just maybe, that Ferguson guy who's been in charge for a few years might know what's best.

Just an idea.

Javier Hernandez says Tuesday was a great day for Manchester United as they go in search of a 20th league title.

The Mexican got on the scoresheet as United beat Stoke 2-0 to go level on points at the top of the table, with Manchester City losing 1-0 at Everton.

Whilst the 24-year-old says the results might not matter come May, he admits it was a good night for the Red Devils.

He told MUTV: "Against Stoke we did a great job against a very difficult team. It was a great night for Manchester United, with City dropping points and us winning against a very difficult team.

Will it be very significant [in the title race]? Maybe not, but it was a very good night for Manchester United fans."

With Wayne Rooney in the stands, Hernandez took his first ever penalty for United, which he duly converted.

And the Mexican says he would be happy to continue taking the kicks, even when Rooney comes back.

He added: "There are a lot of players here who can take penalties. Sometimes it's Wazza, sometimes it's Ryan Giggs. Today it was me and Berbatov.

"I take them for Mexico and I'll be ready if [United] ask me again. If they want me to shoot one, I'll shoot."

Rooney is no saint, committed adultery and has a notorious temper but he's an angel compared to Ravel and has actually matured a bit.

Brother Leon 01-02-2012 02:55 PM

Ravel isnt the only football player to have had bad surroundings in his teens. He just seems to be going the Nile Ranger route rather than a few of the Tottenham lads.

Alot of people like Ravel see Football or Music as the only way out. I really hope he gets Away from it all and fulfills his potential.

bbfan1991 01-02-2012 03:01 PM

Well he's gone now and I wish him well at West Ham, although I do remain hopeful he can change his ways and focus on his talent.

Pogba on the other hand got a taste of first team action at United and will be keen for more, plus SAF has confirmed that the lad wants to stay and United are negotiating over a new deal for him but he has switched agents a few times and they are demanding lots of money as per:bored:.

Yeah, I totally agree he's no saint. Nobody is mind. However, as you say, compared to Ravel he is an angel.

Darron Gibson has vowed to make his spectacular winner against Manchester City the first of many for his new club.

The Everton midfielder admits his first goal for Everton couldn't have come against better opposition that his former club Manchester United's bitter local rivals.

But he has promised that is only the start as he reaches peak match fitness and begins to show the Goodison support exactly what he is made of.

"My last goal was the Champions League semi against Schalke, It was a while ago, I haven't got one for a long time really," he admitted.

"So I was certainly very pleased to score against City, and I'm just delighted to get my first goal. I was a bit frustrated in the last few games because I didn't really manage many shots, but I'm buzzing it came against City.

"I'm gradually getting into things now. I think my fitness has a lot to do with that. I wasn't match fit when I arrived, but it's coming. I'm getting fitter and fitter with every game. Hopefully I can kick on from the goal against City."

Gibson is revelling in the opportunity he has been given at Goodison, and despite his obvious affection for former club United, he admits it is a major boost to his career to be playing every week.

"It is nice to know I've got a chance of playing every week, rather than knowing that I haven't got a chance to be playing to be honest!" he admitted.

"I'm here to work as hard as I can and to pay Everton back for playing me. They are giving me games, and I am going to do as well I can."

Even as he received the acclaim as Everton's match-winner in the post-match interview, Gibson couldn't divert his eyes from the highlights of his former club being beamed on the TV in the corner.

And he admitted he feels a special sense of delight that his first goal came against City, allowing him to do a massive favour to his Old Trafford pals.

"I'm an Everton player but it does mean that little bit more it was against City, although really I'm just glad we got the three points," he explained.

"I haven't checked my phone yet but I'm sure it will be packed with texts. I'm sure there'll be a few from United. I've got a lot of mates there and I'm closest to Jonny Evans and Wazza. I'm sure there will be a few calls from them."

"I didn't know the United fans were singing my name, but it's good they were. City are a good team, so it's a great feeling that our gameplan against them worked."

Good on Gibbo:), he deserves to do well at Everton and have more chance of playing.

Enjoyed the United fans signing ''There's only one Darron Gibson'', once news of his goal came!:D

I love Antonio Valencia's attitude, he has sacked his agent because the guy was trying to link him with other clubs when he is happy at Manchester United and has said he intends on staying for a long time, plus his family is settled in Manchester too:).

Ravel and Pogba can learn from him tbh.
