yeah, good call James!!

You're just not that good at letting go.

That's a good call and it would have been a more satisfactory ending imo, would have made a bit more sense tbh.

InOne 28-05-2010 10:52 AM

Yeah would have been good if it ended where it all began, it kinda did but you get what I mean.

Jack improved as a character the most though over the course of the show.

This is true, even Juliet and Sawyer were better than them but then again that's probably cos everyone wants a bit of Sawyer :joker:

Eko stopped building the church when he realized he had to press the button and said "I have to do something else now".. He mighta gone back to it after the hatch exploded I guess, but I doubt Charlie would have helped him again.

And apparently he was supposed to be in it til Season 4. Not sure if that was just the end of his contract and they wanted to extend it or not.

even if it wasn't the plan I still think it would have been a better ending

Apparently, he didn't want to live in Hawaii :conf2: and wanted to move back to London.

CUSE: On the other hand, we had all these fantastic intentions for this character Mr. Eko, played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. But the guy got down to Hawaii, his whole crew that he rolled with was in London, he was 8,000 miles away, and he hated being there. So we were forced to completely cut bait on Mr. Eko. It’s not like J. K. Rowling; we don’t control every aspect of our world. We work and collaborate with many other artists, and he didn’t want to be on the show. Now, by pruning that branch, that ended up giving us room and space to do more with Michael Emerson’s character, and so suddenly Ben sort of blossomed forth, perhaps sooner and maybe to a greater degree than he would have had we been servicing Mr. Eko.....

How could you not want to live in Hawaii????? that's absurd!!!

So its kind of bittersweet
the fact Ben got to pushed forward :)

InOne 28-05-2010 09:36 PM

Ben was actually a great character. I hated him, I liked him, I loved him. He did the whole rounds.

The finale of Lost may be considered for an Emmy Award thanks to a recent change in nomination rules.

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced via its website that under the new regime the show's extended conclusion will be considered for the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards.

In previous years, extended episodes would not be considered if they ran longer than twice their usual length.

However, the Academy's board of governors has now voted to update the rules, meaning the two and a half hour Lost finale will be submitted for award consideration.

Yesterday was the first Wednesday where I came home from School, to not find a LOST episode on anymore, sad times, sad times.

Lewis. 03-06-2010 09:35 PM

Do you know if they are releasing a complete episode set - with all of the episodes from each series. I would definitely get it.

I'm not sure. But I suppose they would, as that happens with most shows, once they end. The season 6 DVD will come prior to that though. I'll be buying the whole set as well. I currently only have Season 3, so perhaps it'd be smarter for me to by individual seasons though. So sad it's over, but can't wait to watch it all over again in about 2 years time, with the end already in mind, so that I can truly appreciate the brilliance of LOST. Nice avatar and signature, btw, Lewis. (the LOST ones you had before, that is )

Lewis. 03-06-2010 09:40 PM

Yeah. They'll probably milk the season 6 boxset before releasing a complete boxset. And thanks.. Evangeline Lilly is absolutely stunning. She's the main reason I watched LOST

Locke. 03-06-2010 09:43 PM

The Complete Collection is being released on the 6th September and the Season 6 boxet is released on the 20th September.
