Patiently waiting for Friday the 13th: The Game so not starting anything new

Deirdre 03-04-2017 10:35 PM

Completed Inside... most screwed up game I've ever played but I did enjoy it.
Last of Us:Left Behind - only 2 hours long but I did really like it. So excited for TLOU part 2.
Tried to start Journey on PS3 but really can't get into it :(

rk3388 05-04-2017 02:10 PM

I have been playing LoZ: Breath of the Wild and it's amazing :flutter:

If it is anything to go by, I can not wait for Mario Odyssey + Splatoon 2 etc. I think they realize how putting effort and new ideas will = hype and sales.

For those of you who haven't been with Nintendo in a while, I would definitely consider getting a Switch (There are many games this year that look like must-haves)

I'm interested in the switch but tbh can't justify that sort of spend on what is essentially a handheld console (albeit an excellent one) that can be hooked up for big screen play. I'll probably look into one when they're under £150 second hand.

I'm really enjoying Horizon.

I'm still loving it too. The game overall isn't perfect, some frustrating "invisible walls" when moving around and the colour-coded yellow "places where you can climb" and not being able to climb up other places where, visually, you clearly should be able to feels outdated at this point. The combat itself though, combat tactics, variation, challenge level are all pretty much flawless. The best in anything I've played for a long time. On harder difficulties, no matter how over levelled you are, if you drop concentration for a few seconds or fail to be aware of what's going on you can be dead in a couple of hits even against basic enemies and yet thus far I have NEVER died and felt like it was "cheesy" / the fault of the game engine or unavoidable. I'm always able to say "yeah... I ****ed up." A challenge without becoming frustrating or relying on luck. There's a real art in that.

RichardG 13-04-2017 10:35 PM

kairi's inside me?!

RichardG 13-04-2017 10:37 PM

is riku the greatest boss battle of all time

RichardG 13-04-2017 10:37 PM

the answer is yes

Deirdre 14-04-2017 11:56 AM

watch dogs 2, actually really enjoying it when I wasn't a fan of the first one. Some great improvements but very cheesy and cringey at times. Feels like it's written by 50 year olds trying to be 'down with the kids' and somethings are clearly copied from GTA.

I've been farming the Thunderjaw for like a week. At this point I don't even know why. It's like... Just to see how quickly I can kill it, if I can kill it without taking a hit, if I can kill it with broadheads running around that I'm not allowed to kill... Etc...

This is what happened with resi 4 and I ended up completing it on pro using only the knife :umm2:.

And now that I've mentioned that it just makes me want to try to take down the Thunderjaw using only a basic green bow

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 16-04-2017 12:17 PM

is the thunderjaw supposed to be the most difficult enemy in the game? i think rockbreakers and stormbirds are more difficult to kill

Once the disc launchers are off (which you can do from stealth before the fight even starts) he's not really tough at all, hence being good for farming in my opinion. There are loads of things I find tougher to fight. ANYTHING that flies, plus I find shell walkers in groups of three or more a nightmare :/. I'm not sure why. I dodge one and roll right into another :fist :

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 16-04-2017 08:20 PM

i thought shell walkers were easy peasy lemon squeezy i just kept firing blast trip wires in front of them and after about 3/4 they were dead :flutter:

i hope in the expansion (i heard there was gonna be an expansion) they let you mount thunderjaws ugh can you imagine

Tregard 16-04-2017 08:58 PM

Overwatch to get the Uprising skins, Gwent beta because it's brilliant, Horizon Zero Dawn because it's beautiful.

Waiting for Yooka Laylee to come to Switch before I buy one, alongside Breath of the Wild no doubt.

That's why only in groups of three or more; I was using exactly the same tactic but then one would come in from the side unseen while I was luring them towards the blast wires :joker:.

That was pretty early on to be fair, I'd just dodge & hardpoint arrow now probably. My Hunter bow has near enough + 150% damage thanks to all the purple drops from the Thunderjaw :hee: (I carry a separate Hunter bow with 150% fire, too).

:clap1:

wait until you get to kh2 :flutter: the end game bosses are perhaps my favourite video game battles of all time

kh re:chain of memories was released in between kh1+2 but the gameplay kind of sucks i'd probably skip it unless u really want the story info

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 19-04-2017 06:10 PM

yeah i got the HD 1.5 + 2.5 thing :flutter:

i'll deffo play chain of memories too

btw i started on the hardest difficulty and ended up starting again on medium :nono: that robot dark creature thing fight in the 3rd district of traverse town was killing me in like 2 hits ;_;

but yeah i started again and i'm in wonderland now

i hope maleficent is like the big bad of the game bc that's what i got from the cutscene of them all around the table

RichardG 19-04-2017 06:15 PM

haha the guard armour on proud is very hard, you really needed to grind up to about lv 12 or so on the enemies throughout the rest of traverse town in order to be able to kill him, i'd definitely just continue on medium now tho no point starting again

wonderland is cute but i always get kinda stuck on that world it confuses me later in towards the end

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 19-04-2017 06:22 PM

are the rest of the games heavily disney themed like this? like locations wise etc :suspect: so KH3 will probs feature frozen/zootopia etc??

RichardG 19-04-2017 06:30 PM

yes, almost every world across all the games is disney themed. kh1 + chain of memories share pretty much the same worlds but then there's a lot more variety throughout the rest.

the only confirmed worlds for kh3 so far are traverse town which makes sense bc it's kinda like the base hub for all the games, the world you're going to go to after wonderland (i won't spoil it), and tangled. i'm presuming most of the worlds for kh3 will be fairly recent disney films.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 19-04-2017 06:32 PM

yay i'm looking forward to it
