James is so posh

Adele whispering "Cheeky bastard" as she's leaving :joker:
http://i.imgur.com/foKpGnK.gif She's not wrong, Alan can be a right rude prick. |
Yeah Alan was not that nice when Adele quit and iirc he has said since that he kind of spoke out of turn.

Watched episode 5 last night. Brilliant episode, so many great moments like Paul's barely-concealed awkwardness with the sexual paintings, Matthew raging at the other team in public and accusing them of stealing invitations for the art show, Saira's awful pitch to the artist couple they all wanted to represent then fuming when they chose the other team, Paul and Saira arguing outside the boardroom. :clap2:
|
Paul vs Saira was iconic.
We just don't get spontaneous moments like that on TA anymore |
Episode 6 finished, Impacts team was by far one of the worst presentations I've ever seen on TA. The full page spread, TV advert and that ****ing mood board were all horrific, it was sooooo easy from early on in the episode to tell that First Forte had won the task.
I'm kind of liking Paul again, sure he's kind of arrogant, slimy and annoying at times but he's TV gold. His and Sairas problematic relationship made me scream. Oh dear @ Rachel throwing her shoes off and dancing in the pitch I had to close my eyes it was so cringing. Also this is one of my favourite moments so far: Paul: 'I'm a Catholic Christian and with God as my witness i shook her hand' Lord Sugar: 'Well I'm bloody Jewish and I don't care' |

Episode 7 finished, gone back to disliking Paul yet again... I really didn't like anyone on the First Forte team (Tims actually pretty decent but Ben, Miriam and Paul :yuk:).
Quite liked the task this episode again wouldn't say I liked at much as episodes 3-5 but it was still pretty decent, can't wait for next weeks task though looking at the exert: Saira: 'Are you in a hurry?' Jogging man: 'Yes' Saira: 'Well would you like to try some of our chutneys? :)' |
How can you dislike Miriam :omgno:
And on First Forte there's only James and Saira to stan |
I really like Miriam so far.
|
I'm so confused by this clip of Miranda and Matthew shouting at each other they keep showing at the start of every episode, I don't recall it ever being in any of the episodes

Watched Episode 8 earlier
Yasssss Ben is out :clap1: couldn't stand him, kinda thought it was out of order how he tried to pass the book to Paul on the failure of the task, it was solely down to him he was **** at managing the team and at selling. Saira is a ****ing legend  it upsets me how people in the comments on YT slate her :( |
Omg I forgot all about this </3
She shall be rebooted soon X |
Decided to give S1 a go from reading the comments on this thread (whilst trying to avoid all the spoilers :ninja2:) and watched E1 last night.
Loving Saira, she's hilarious and her flower selling technique was something else. "I wen to Japan. KOOO-NIII-CHI-WAAH!! DO you understand!? You buy this flower now!" "You are Muslim, I am Muslim you will buy these flowers!?" Paul also impressed me with his brilliant salesmanship and patter! Sad to hear that Adenike passed away :( I liked her a lot but she was pretty quiet. I actually thought her suggestion of going to hospitals and funeral homes was a good idea? Am I the only one that quite likes Matthew? :ninja2: LOL @ his overreaction to the girls just wanting to make a few sandwiches. Also – is it weird that this series feels fresh to me even though the show is 11 years old? I can imagine it was very original and innovative at the time. Even the voiceover man is much more lowkey than he is nowadays – much like Marcus Bentley in his early days. |

And yeah, it doesn't feel dated at all really. I'll get back to it soon too. |
Voiceover: "At 6 ft 9, Matthew is the co-creator of The Tall Society..."
Cut to Matthew smacking his head on the doorframe... http://i.imgur.com/AjoZ4Fv.gif :laugh2: Quote:

Finished E2&3 – how annoying was Lindsay and her obsession with the stupid semaphore idea!
The robot toy idea was faaar better and probably would have won them the task. Completely foolish to disregard the focus group feedback, constant team feedback and research to instead go for the clearly inferior idea. Deserved result imo. Oh - and she kept reminding me of Cam from Tracy Beaker! Screaming @ Matthew reading Sir Alan's book during the boys' meeting. |
I adored the scavenger hunt task! Howling at Adele's ruthless delegation of roles in the first meeting
"I need an assistant, bear in mind you may be in the boardroom with me if we fail, this is a very senior position - who wants to do that (no pause) I want Ben to do that job" "I'd also like a PA - who would like to do that (no pause) Miranda, would you like to do that?" "Bear in mind you may be in the firing line" The Asian team getting the Freeview box for free! :clap1: The constant Miranda vs Adele bickering was hilarious! But I don't agree with the boardroom result, I don't believe Miranda was being disruptive or a 'saboteur' - Adele was responsible for the failure of the task. My faves at this point are Saira and Matthew  |
E4 finished - great task this episode! We got to see a lot more of the actual task considering the boardroom was shorter than normal...
The Harrods staff were right rude ***** imo, loved when Adele and Saira clocked them <3 I mean what kid is going to get traumatised at a hanging dog? I was completely like :o when Adele chose to resign. Sir Alan was a right rude bastard to her though :/ Oh & I've only just realised how hot Sebastian is :flutter: Spoiler: |
