There's actually a new one just after coming on called White Tiger, it's 2021 film (I know massively veering from our "classic" theme) but it looks interesting

...no I’m fine...I think American Psycho was just such a difficult watch as well because there was nothing about the whole thing that I could connect to either...I think Zodiac is a true life serial killer as well...so that always creates an interest for me...

...Zodiac, then...perfect....

...I think because so many are restricted in terms of being paid for and people have different Network access etc...we can stretch Classic as far as we want to and just go for interesting/promising watches...

...I’ll try to get time later to see what I can find or if anyone else has any thoughts, that’s perfect as well...or we could go for The Help or Zombieland...?...

I've seen both of those but I haven't watched either in a long time so whichever you'd prefer is fine with me

Oh I'd be up for Thelma & Louis as well sometime too if it's available anywhere, that'd be a good one to watch with my daughter, she wouldn't have seen that.

I'll get Steel Magnolias watched this week

Ammi 27-01-2021 10:00 AM

...just in case that’s all confusing......

...Steel Magnolias for the next watch...

...(...another movie that I’d like to rewatch if it’s available is Working Girl...

I'm not sure if I've seen that so I'll be up for that one too if we can find it anywhere

Mystic pzza is another great movie.
Not as well known, but lovely.

Ammi 27-01-2021 06:24 PM

...I know that I’ve seen Mystic Pizza, Vanessa...but I can’t recall much about the story, I feel that I liked it though...(...plus it has pizza in the title.....)...

...I’ll write a bit of thought about about Steel Magnolias tomorrow...

...okay, just some thoughts for the next one after Magnolias...these are all Netflix, so will have to be searched online for anyone who doesn't have Netflix...

Seven Pounds
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind
Revolutionary Road
Shutter Island
Legends of the Fall
Tallulah

...I tend to try Netflix, rather than Amazon Prime..?...because there as some great movies on Amazon ...but then when you click on them, they’re pay movies...I looked for a few but they were all pay for ....

Marsh. 27-01-2021 06:52 PM

It has Julia Roberts. Avoid! :nono:

If you click "Free to me" at the top it will filter all the movies/shows that come with Amazon Prime, putting the "pay to view" stuff at the bottom. :smug:

Bollo 28-01-2021 12:07 AM

I still haven't re watched American Psycho yet as I've had 3 long shifts in a row, so I'm thinking should I miss it as it didn't get a great reception and go on to the next one?...i don't want to hold everyone up...
I can just go straight onto Steel Magnolis if thats the next one...

...oh, I hoped there was an easier way but I hadn’t figured it out......I’m so new to Amazon Prime and I use it less to search just because I get all excited about finding something that I want to watch and then it’s all about the money...thank you, Marsh......you’re a clever star .....

...you’re not holding up, Bollo...so it’s really if you want to watch it, then please do...I tend to look for next watches quite quickly just because it can take a bit of time to find something we can all access, you know...but there’s no pressure to watch quickly...American Psycho because it’s such an iconic movie and I think has very high critical acclaim...but personally I just couldn’t connect to it, obviously many people feel differently...I am glad that I watched it, though because it’s still good to look at what is our thing and what isn’t and the reasons for that etc...

Ammi 28-01-2021 07:08 AM

...Steel Magnolias...

Spoiler:

...I’m not sure what there is to say, really...’Steel Magnolias’ were women of their time..as Truvy says to her husband ‘ because it makes us feel pretty..’...I can’t recall which beauty treatment he mentioned...anyways, obviously Truvy’s beauty treatments made the ‘magnolias’ ...and beneath the surface of those magnolias was the emotional strength of steel that kept all of their lives together...all of them so different but with a huge connection and bond of friendship...sometimes we just need to cry, it’s a welcome relief..and atm we also need to feel our friendships more in our hearts and this is the movie...I loved it, unashamedly I loved it and am glad I revisited it at just the perfect moment.....a perfect cast...

Ammi 29-01-2021 07:44 AM

...(...I think also showing on Amazon Prime for free../thank you Marsh...)...is A Few Good Men, which I recall so little about but it’s definitely in the Classic vibe...so that’s a thought...?...I was wondering if Alf would join us for that...

Niamh. 29-01-2021 09:03 AM

Oh I love a Few Good Men and haven't watched it in ages.

Haven't had a chance to watch Steel Magnolias yet but will try to get it watched over the weekend
