Looks like common sense has prevailed though and the right person has almost crossed the line...

So tired of hearing this....the Rebublican senate blocked his every move. So tired of hearing how vile Hilary is... the whole world is now going to see the very definition of vile. They never knew the meaning of the word before. Trump isn't going to take down and build a better america... he is going to burn it to the ground ... and leave it in smoldering ashes. Never has the shame gif been more appropriate... shame on you America.

...I guess the system and establishment has to be looked at as well and how restricts the fulfilling of..?...because the president is just a front person and not really the decision maker.../my feelings are that the things that people have voted for in Trump can't be fulfilled to any greater degree either and that's the 'anti-establishment' that is doomed to fail.../we'll see as the old Chinese gurus would say...

I'd recommend watching the excellent BBC documentary series 'Inside Obama's White House'. You'll see it's far from 'nothing' and understand the difficulties he's faced getting legislation through.

..thing is though Parmy, I think at the most negative times which many countries are feeling atm, a politician is exactly what's needed... it's just that Hilary wasn't that politician and never would have been either.../their personalities aside, neither of them would be a 'best thing' for the country and for the job.../it's just all that America was given to choose between...so there was never going to be a win, no matter who got the job...

is this what Brexit felt like? I don't understand British politics at all but I know that result was similarly harrowing

It is a little bizarre when you think about it isn't it, with all the people and wealth in the US these two candidates were the best they could come up with. :shrug:
