Yeah, lower taxes are beneficial for everyone. If the "Fat Cats" are making more money, they'll be able to hire more employees, give them better pay, and not charge huge prices for their goods or services.

Having more money in people's pockets is a good thing because it stimulates the economy - money being spent supports businesses, which gets further spent, and goes round and round. The money still goes to government eventually, through business rates, VAT, and the business owners paying taxes. It just does more good on the way than just falling into the hole of waste.

ALL the truth giving to the rich benefits the poor

"Trickle down" economics DOES NOT WORK. Providing tax cuts to wealthy employers does NOT increase employment, or pay rates, or reduce prices.

This has been demonstrated *countless* times and is one of the most basic, thoroughly debunked myths of capitalist theory.

But its nice to see TiBB still derping along talking about it like the next big brainwave. Smfh.

Twosugars 23-07-2019 02:02 PM

But johnson said "**** business" thus confirming Brexit is not about what's in best interest of the country, it's an ideological and backward idea

:skull:

About as many as the older people who voted to leave EU but are unironically looking forward to a parasitic relationship with the US? Not many older voters can accurately tell you the ins and outs either because the majority of voters are typically uninformed and let headlines and meaningless irrelevant **** dictate who they should vote for.

Boris Johnson could win landslide by uniting the Brexit vote

At this early stage, it's hard to say how Boris Johnson will perform among the
general public in a national election.

But polling shows that the new Prime Minister's pledge to leave the EU by
October 31 would attract disaffected Tory voters back from the Brexit Party
vote and give them a boost in the polls.

The ORB poll showed that if the UK left by the Halloween deadline,
Conservative members would flock back to the party, with 92 per cent
backing the Tories.

This repatriation of votes from the Brexit Party back into the Conservative
fold would give the Tories a boost in a national general election.

A recent YouGov poll showed that if a national election took place after Boris
Johnson had delivered Brexit, the Conservatives would win a general election
with 28 per cent of the vote. This is five percentage points higher than if Mr
Johnson led the Conservatives into an election before Brexit had been
delivered.

By all means, let him govern in coalition with nigel.
Personally I'm resigned the country will get ****ed.

In 20 years or so we will be reapplying to the EU.
Scotland by then will be independent

Tom4784 23-07-2019 02:24 PM

He's going to force through No-deal when a lot of Brexit voters don't even want that. He won't unify ****, just separate us even more.

arista 23-07-2019 02:24 PM

Nice of Zarif.

I also don’t get the relevance of the BIB. She hasn’t swayed me, I happen to completely agree.

We don't vote for prime ministers, they're all "unelected"

We vote for our local MP, and the PM is the leader of the party with the most MPs.

bots 23-07-2019 03:06 PM

both labour and the tories had the opportunity presented to them 3 times to leave the EU with a deal and refused it, so they have no-one to blame but themselves if we end up leaving without a deal.

So how do you explain what Johnson said when Brown took over?
I quoted it up the thread
