By seasons 3 and 4, most-definitely. In seasons 1 and 2, she was just the right mixture of smart and ditzy (IMO). She had her dim, clueless moments but she also had wit, spunk and a bit of common sense in her quirkiness. Then they turned her into a total moron and it just diluted whatever strength as a character she did have. By that point in the show she was definitely one of the weakest.

I didn't dislike the character tbf, I just preferred the others.

All but one self-service checkouts being card-only. As mad as it sounds, people do still carry cash these days.

My brother in law’s best mate was going into Tesco last week when a guy sitting cross legged outside asked for spare cash when he explained that he didn’t have any cash the homeless guy pulled out a card reader !!

Livia 16-01-2025 08:44 PM

I like to pay with cash and always have cash on me. Use it or lose it.

In a similar vein, randomly making Rosie Webster (Corrie) dumber than a bag of bricks. For God’s sake, the woman’s mum paid for her to go to a private school. Where’s the intellectual fruit of her labour now?

Marge’s voice in some of the newer seasons of The Simpsons. Why so extra-croaky?

Ray. 18-01-2025 01:05 AM

She's been straining her voice for money (and of course, for your viewing pleasure ;)) for 30+ years now. Of course her voice is going to sound ****ed.

Feral kids in coffee shops. There’s more appropriate reason for hyper. kids to be here than in the pub but it’s still annoying.

I think when they leave the coffee shops, they go into Morrisons while I'm there and scream around with those tiny trollies. It's probably the same kids.....

That’s also what I’ve noticed (feral little lads in Morrisons causing havoc).

Cadbury's cynically using people's Alzheimers misery and heartbreak to sell their shitty chocolate.

I’ve said it before, but … yeah. ITVX. Unless you pay for Premium, the app’s virtually unusable.

Currently watching eyes wide shut properly for the first time, I'm 3 minutes in and I'm disturbed by the fact that Nicole did not wash her hands with soap after going to the toilet. She just gave it a quick 3 second rinse. I hope I can get past this and enjoy the rest of the movie. Wish me luck :bawling:

Default iPhone ringtones. I’m not a big fan of calls to begin with but that ringtone is genuinely so irritating. Maybe it’s just because of what I associate it with.

…praying for you……it’s so long since I’ve watched that movie, I can’t recall that harrowing scene…

That I am forced to go to the office tomorrow and on top of that forced to have forced fun as part of team build day. And the manager had the AUDACITY to suggest that sometime soon we should do karaoke as a team!! Iz we a social club or there to make our money and leave! Iz we friends?!?! Or forced to be in the same vicinity?!!!

Livia 27-01-2025 11:00 PM

Urghh... Team building. Forced to have manufactured fun with people you wouldn't choose to socialise with.

Ray. 28-01-2025 12:59 AM

Soon as the company starts telling you to see them as a family, it's all over imo. :bawling:

Unless it's literally a small family run business. Then it's excusable and probably genuinely meant.

Absolutely had a dead face and then cringed when a colleague was like "but we're famiiilllyy" with a penitent face. I don't even remember what the conversation was I just know my face was as mentioned along with silence. She quickly realised I was not the one to have this conversation with and we swiftly moved on.
