The Tories have been terrible since David Cameron got into power for his first term, and they've just ran out of people to blame their incompetence on by the time that it's came around to Sunak. |

If things stay as they are it's getting more expected that she'll lose her seat in Portsmouth. She'd be a far better prospect for the Cons than Sunak ever could be however. |

I think manifestos are largely irrelevant. I've canvassed in elections since 2015. I've yet to hear someone saying they had A manifesto or manifestos, never mind even read any. It would seem that Sunak is doing what Corbyn did in 2019. Throwing anything out there recklessly. Manifestos only now really give a guide to what may be done. Not fully what will be . Sunak unlike Starmer is looking like going down the road of over promising to end up under delivering again Whereas Starmer is likely to be going to end up under promising in the hope of over delivering. |
all the parties are weak. They have thousands of things that they need to improve with no cash to do it. The tories and labour have committed to not raising taxes, so the only way they can meaningfully increase spending is through economic growth and that can't be significantly increased in 5 years. So, whoever wins, is out of luck

Ben Houchen has done marvels as The Tees Valley mayor. Our local mp is also ok, but I am afraid the Tories have had their day. Not sure what would be a better alternative at this time mind. |
Now they all clapping Sunak?

Labour or tory governments are both hamstrung before they start, so things will just go into a holding pattern for 5 years until the next election, by which time things may have changed, or more than likely, will just be as they are now. Global events are of far greater importance in the short and medium term, none of which we have any real influence over |

I know for sure I'll be underwhelmed by the manifesto from Labour this time.
When it is revealed this week. However, somehow I expected more than what came from the Cons today. It was also underwhelming. |
