If Ali wins on Friday, I think King Charles should designate November 15th as an annual bank holiday. Ali Day will be celebrated for decades to come

Anyone know what Jordan’s odds to win were heading into the final last year?

Thanks Benjamin, we're effed :wavey: , Ali is winning no matter what.
Is there even any point watching the final, when we know what will happen.

Ali is therefore in a stronger position than Jordan given she is nows odds on favourite meaning you win less than you actually risk/bet !!

It’s about time we had a good landslide winner though unlike the rest of them

I thought Jordan was a landslide last year

Ali shortening further, which is to be expected. Marcello drifting slightly, Emma drifting a lot, Hanah shortening and becoming closer to 2nd fave. She's firm 3rd fave with most bookies now. Basically, the next few HL shows are crucial for Hanah.

Sounds kind of a silly analogy, but if this was a football match, Ali would be leading 3-0 at half time and cruising. Not all over, but it kinda is

As someone who doesn't really understand odds at first glance the football analogy is incredibly helpful, thank you :hee:

Just saw this! Ali shortening to around 66% and Marcello drifting to around 16%. I was surprised though bc I thought last night’s episode wasn’t a good one for Ali (whilst I like and understand her, lots of moments where I was like oh…she’s not going to be received well here ).

I also just still can’t imagine it being this clear cut. Can I ask - does anyone have much knowledge on previous BB winners odds? Have the bookies ever predicted a winner so confidently before and been wrong?

There's the odds from last year , somewhere on here if you want to compare. Jordan was a favourite to win with bookies and they got it right .

No, a HM has never been this strong in the odds so close to final, in recent memory anyway.

I think the last time so far ahead was Josie Gibson

Ammi 12-11-2024 08:00 PM

….it’s strange because DS has Ali polling as their favourite to win…and she also polls on there as the one who they would least like to win…I never understand these things…

Isabelle was super far ahead; but yes before her I think it was Josie who dominated the odds

Bronzo 12-11-2024 08:28 PM

Just looked through old threads and Cameron was 8/11 with some bookies on the day before the finale for BB19, so she hasn’t quite reached bigger odds that Cameron actually. Isabelle was also 8/11. But those were the two clear winners for channel 5.
