Hate to be the barer of more bad brexit news

The plant being closed is owned by Jim Ratcliffe, a Brexit supporter who 'officially changed his tax residence from Hampshire to Monaco, a move that it is estimated will save him £4 billion in tax'...

All hail the golden age, where our rights are forfeit and business is moving abroad.

I hope brexit voters are happy.

I thought the Oxford vaccine wasn't effective on the newer strains?

Not many tests have been done although I heard that preliminary testing (on the SA strain which is the one that was causing vaccine worries) is actually quite encouraging.

The issue isn't really whether or not the vaccine will work at this point... It's that the rate in London is so high now that it will have spread like wildfire LONG before a decent proportion of people have been vaccinated... And those strains are now spreading globally.

Honearly there's a very real risk that the vaccines have simply come too late to stop full spread throughout the population.

It's been over for a while, but I struggle to believe that you think one man losing his job in a different country, is more important than 400 losing their jobs over here. Especially when the factory owner is one of the brexiteers.

Good on the Labour Leader
on Marr BBC1HD today
has said in 2024 General Election,
he will not change the treaty.

The Slim Reaper 10-01-2021 11:35 AM

Sorry Arista, but tories will try and change it way before 2024 because it's a disaster.

The fishermen used by leave, have been completely abandoned.

Brexiteers should be furious.

Crimson Dynamo 12-01-2021 04:08 PM

Jim isnt happy with THE DUTCH re brexit

The Slim Reaper 12-01-2021 04:13 PM

That's what happens at borders. Try taking anything into Aus or NZ. we wanted these borders, and it is EU law that meat and dairy can't be taken into the EU. Just because brexiteers don't understand borders... This is what we won :cheer2:

Crimson Dynamo 12-01-2021 04:25 PM

Jim is just reminding the Dutch about their recent history...

The Slim Reaper 14-01-2021 07:40 AM

Not a lot of good news around brexit this morning.

arista 14-01-2021 08:46 AM

Yes major problems
but in time, they will be fixed
