As a trivial matter, it's concerning to see EastEnders slipping into the fives, with even Emmerdale doing better than it. The share in particular at 29% is absolutely abysmal.

thought Emmerdale would have had more on Thursday

To be fair, it's the middle of a heatwave summer (and even then so many people are on holiday). What's really important right now is the proportion of people watching, i.e. the audience share. 35% is reasonable for them.

It's been crap for ages now, so it'll gradually have to win back viewers. At least even at its lowest ebb, it's trouncing how Big Brother used to do in its heyday.

Gstar 03-09-2013 12:20 PM

EE right now has probably been the best since like 2011. Oh and yeah  poor BB

Pretty poor for EastEnders, considering they had the car crash yesterday.

19.00 - Emmerdale - 6.36m, 35.6%/6.67m, 36.7% (ex., inc. +1)
19.30 - Coronation Street - 7.69m, 38.6%/8.07m, 40.4% (ex., inc. +1)

20.00 - Emmerdale - 5.76 million (27.9%)/6.04 million (29.2%)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Good to see EastEnders maintaining its exact audience and share all week, but the fact that it can't even reach 7 million at this time of year is disappointing, especially given what's happened this week. Dire.

20.00 - EastEnders - 5.7m (26%)
