I was actually considering giving up again this morning.. I seem to have some sort of chest infection thing going on and it kinda hurts to smoke :(
Decided against it again though :)

Half thinking of running up to the shop for a pack now lol. Desperate stuff. And I'm only off them a day or two!

Have you not had one in two days?? I completely understand how you're feeling then. What about nicotine gum? Tastes like sh!t but it definitely takes the edge off the craving!
Apparently, each craving lasts for only 10 mins so go get a drink of water and keep chatting and it may pass?

Yeah, I heard that myself actually - that they come and go. How long have you smoked for and do you ever think that you'll quit them?

I've smoked for 19 years!! Bloody hell I hadn't really thought about that before! I've stopped a couple of times, the longest for a year and a half but always end up back on them.. I think I will get to a stage where I decide enough is enough but at the mo I still enjoy them too much. There is no way I could stop unless I had decided I didn't like it anymore.. Does that make sense?
How long for you?

I was just a social smoker for a number of years. There was times when I rarely smoked at all, just the odd one while out so I could waffle with the lovely ladies outside the nightclub, you know that way? lol. But yeah, I've only developed into a more regular smoker over the last year so it would be nice to see if I could shut it all down at will, like I could before, you know that way?

And it does make sense. What do you smoke?

Golden Virginia at home.. Regal King size outside the home.
I'd be quite happy if I could be a social smoker but I think that's impossible for somebody who has been a full time smoker, as it just creeps up to a full time habit again
How's your craving going now? Probably not a good thing we're talking about here actually! :)

It's ok. Doing weights right now just to take my mind off it. Yeah, I think I'll get over it ok. Just want to make sure that I still can if you know what I mean?

Yip I know what you mean. I'm kind of hoping my cogh/chest infection gets really bad as that'll maybe encourage me to get back onto the patches.. Mind you last time I ended up completely addicted to them and couldn't seem to wean myself off as easily as i did the first time. I ended up having to wear two!!

That's why I'm starting to train again now because hopefully it will stop my craving a little bit.... I'll be too knackered to think about having one!

Lol, just think it's the only way to get me off them... show my lungs how they're really supposed to work!

Lee. 24-06-2010 02:01 PM

Right! I'm giving up on Monday! and I'm going to try and get a bit fitter!
Oh mind you stopping causes severe weight gain! och maybe I'll not bother!! :)

Tomorrow I have the biggest exam of my 2 years at University, an oral presentation of the 3 months long internship I did + a rather complicated topic related to my degree. I am so so so so so so so so so nervous, I've asked to leave work this afternoon so I could finish my powerpoint thing and train.
This is it man ! I am 100% confident I will end up as best student of the degree like I did last year but it's still nerve racking.

sooty 24-06-2010 02:13 PM

Deep breeze before you start, then you should be all right.
Good luck, Remy.

http://files.myopera.com/mightymikey...520hammond.jpgWhen the other day, my colleague and I went out for lunch, we saw a man came into our building, she said it was Richard Hammond from TV's Top Gear.
I said no, he just looked like him, otherwise what would Hammond be doing in our building.

Later she said to another colleague about it, then he said he had seen Bruno, the Italian dancing judge as well.
He said a receptionist told him that there is a media company's office somewhere in our building.

I might see more familiar faces in a future then!:D

Yesterday I overslept.

While I was almost running to catch my usual train, I felt something strangled feeling.

I realised I was wearing my button less top, back to front.
As I did not have time to go back home, I really hoped nobody would have noticed of that until I got to my office.
