Actor Charles Dance has accidentally confirmed that there will be a fourth season of Game Of Thrones.

Season three of the HBO fantasy show is set to begin on March 31 in the US and April 1 in the UK, where it airs on Sky Atlantic. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have previously revealed the new season will feature slightly longer episodes than in the past.

Now Dance, who plays ruthless villain Tywin Lannister in the hit series, has let slip that plans for a fourth season are underway and six scripts have already been written. Speaking at a recent press junket to promote the season two Blu-ray, Dance said: "We're about to start season four aren't we? This year."

Continuing, Dance explained that Game Of Thrones works further ahead than many TV shows, saying: "We get scripts pretty early on - much earlier on than in similar series. Usually you get perhaps one episode and you just have to trust that what's going to come in subsequent episodes is going to be as good as the one you've got. But in this I think there are six scripts already written, and we will probably be able to see them with more than adequate time to prepare before we start shooting."

First two seasons are getting added to Sky On Demand on the 1st April

It'll be interesting to see what they'll do when they catch up with the books since it takes the author so long to bring out new installments.

doubt the author will actually finish the books, figure they'll try to end the story with the show instead

Will be ages before they actually catch up though.

Season 3 = Half of A Storm of Swords
Season 4 = Half of A Storm of Swords
Season 5 = A Feast for Crows
Season 6 = A Dance with Dragons
Season 7 = Winds of Winter (the one he is currently working on)
Season 8 = The final book

So it will be 2017 by the time they catch up, and they could easily make 3 seasons out of A Feast for Crows and Dance with Dragons combined to get an extra year.. No chance he will actually finish the final book though he is supposed to be really unhealthy and is really old

Does this mean Daenerys is going to **** **** up in this series? I expected her to still be seperate from the rest of the cast for a season or two yet.

Looks like Stannis was a bit to busy to attend but he sent Davos instead
