Pity people didn't care that austerity killed over 100k of us, if we're that desperate to ensure risk is protected over humanity.

were elderly flu victims included in that total?

If not then I'm sure there has been many protests about the matter proving that people do care.

I'm assuming that your point is that nobody cared about the people who died because of austerity?

I want to get a few facts correct first before pointing out the ridiculousness of it

Isnt that a finger that should be pointed at the french for not being able to stop these dangerous crossings?

Good luck, when the party responsible for a decade of austerity, got another 5 years to do it some more.

No, because we're both supposed to be liberal democracies, not countries like North Korea.

They are doing ok considering there was no money left in the pot when labour left.

Not true, my brother. I've explained this to you before, and as a country our finances are miles worse today.

We are though(lib) which is why all sides must be seriously listened to.

It shouldn't be one side against the other. True liberalism is accepting both sides and bringing it all together as one...A balance must be met, and I think the scales are tipping too far one way now.

And wouldn't North Korea force people onto boats. I wonder!!!!

The government is hard right, supported by a hard right press, and the left (although blair was never a leftist) haven't held power for over a decade. If it was really skewed too far one way in reality rather than propaganda, who put it too far? The left is powerless in this country so please explain.

People thought fascism was dead after wwII and yet it has many supporters today, so no ideas are dead, just dormant.

I think all the terrorism we have seen has caused it...what we need to do is find a reason for this terrorism..

Hmmm..may I suggest illegal wars to start with, then we can move on from there.

That doesn't really make any sense, but appreciate you trying.

Terrorism by muslims has caused people to feel the same as some people thought of the Irish for years....thankfully we have overcame that)

To remain on the IRA theme......

The brits caused the hatred, and the same happened when labour started an illegal war with Iraq...only it's not the Irish hating us this time due to our own disdain as a nation

Cherie 08-09-2020 07:09 PM

Don’t worry I still hate you all

What? Muslim terrorism is the reason things got too lax, and is also the reason why people are now turning against refugees? There is nothing in that sentence that makes any sense.

I agree about the illegal wars, but you keep bringing that up as though you feel as though you've caught me out with it, because you get to say labour. I'm not really a labour supporter, they're just realistically the most progressive political party with even the remotest chance of being elected and able to affect change.

I think you miss the point a bit though, our history of redrawing and carving up maps, colonisation, and empire are the real issues that led to the problems in the middle east, as is our overthrowing of governments and our historical support for one despot over another.

Beso 11-09-2020 11:09 AM

6 to a boat from Monday onwards please.

arista 12-09-2020 04:59 PM
