Were the first 3 clues too obscure?

Clue 1 - The spinning top needs to stop so you know you're not in dream world
Clue 2 - The simple idea they planted needs to grow and expand
Clue 3 - Don't wait too long to come out of the dream world or you'll forget it's not real and get stuck
