Who's Sian :S
|
Sophie's mate, then one who kissed Ryan Connor

Listen Chewy your ignorance astounds me - I decide not to look at spoilers, that's why I don't post in this thread anymore. But I've now unintentionally found out that Sophie Webster's a lesbian because you were obtuse enough to put it in the title. There's a reason why some people don't look at spoilers, so GET RID OF IT!

Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell has claimed that the show's cast are living in fear for their jobs.
The actor, who has played Kevin Webster for 26 years, revealed that even long-established Weatherfield stars are concerned about their future following recent job cuts at ITV. "We are scared that we face getting axed with what's going on," Le Vell told The People. "But we all have the attitude we will just carry on doing what we are doing to the best we can. "What will happen will happen, but in the meantime we want to continue working hard as a team and hopefully we will reign supreme at what is a difficult time for ITV." In February, reports suggested that the Manchester-based soap could be sold off to an independent production company due to the current financial climate. Meanwhile, The People also claims that paranoia over the show's future has led to a widespread "mole hunt" in recent weeks. Following recent storyline leaks to the media, executive producer Kim Crowther reportedly ordered staff to hand over their phone records - and also recruited an expert to sweep conference rooms for bugging devices. A source revealed: "Staff couldn't believe what they were hearing. They deal with top-secret storylines and internal matters week in, week out so found it astonishing that the finger of suspicion should be pointed at them. "Most were happy to do it because they knew if they didn't, questions would be asked. As for the bug sweep, it shows how paranoid the bosses have become. The atmosphere is really bad now because everyone is worried about their jobs in this difficult climate." A ITV spokesperson this afternoon told DS: "We are very vigilant when it comes to protecting storyline leaks on both Coronation Street and Emmerdale as we don't want to spoil plots for our viewers." Digital spy  |
EVERY star in Coronation Street fears they could get the sack as recession-hit ITV slashes its budget, The People can reveal.
And to add to the panic, Corrie bosses have launched the biggest mole hunt in the show's 49-year history after a spate of damaging leaks about secret storylines and unrest among the cast. Senior production staff have been ordered to hand over records of their phone calls while script conference rooms have been electronically swept for bugs. Advertisement The unprecedented hunt comes as the flagship show struggles with falling viewing figures and low morale following ITV chief Michael Grade's£ 135million cuts across the channel. All the stars - from veterans like Michael Le Vell who has played mechanic Kevin Webster for 26 years to newer faces like Kym Marsh who is bookie's assistant Michelle - are now braced for pay cuts and even the SACK. ITV bosses are said to be - mainly slashing their daytime schedules and Coronation Street has been told its future is secure.. But Corrie stars like Michael, 44, Simon Gregson, 34, who plays Rovers' boss Steve McDonald and Katherine Kelly, 29, who plays his fiancé e Becky, could still be at risk. Michael, who arrived on the Street in 1983 when he was 18, told The People:" We are scared that we face getting axed with what's going on. Nervy " But we all have the attitude we will just carry on doing what we are doing to the best we can. " What will happen will happen, but in the meantime we want to continue working hard as a team and hopefully we will reign supreme at what is a difficult time for ITV." The nervy atmosphere has not been helped by executive producer Kim Crowther launching a clampdown on any cast unrest or sensitive storylines being leaked to the media as the show battles against a reviving BBC EastEnders. Just a couple of weeks ago Miss Crowther called on her most trusted lieutenants to hand over their itemised phone records to make sure no staff were speaking to media without authorisation. During the meeting where producers, script editors and other senior staff discuss storylines, they were stunned to see an eavesdropping expert sweep the conference room for BUGGING devices. And in another shake-up to keep confidential Corrie info in-house, the meetings previously held in hotels were moved to ITV's Quay Street studio complex in Manchester where the show is filmed. One outraged insider told The People:" Staff couldn't believe what they were hearing. They deal with top-secret storylines and internal matters week in, week out so found it astonishing that the finger of suspicion should be pointed at them. " Most were happy to do it because they knew if they didn't, questions would be asked. Negative " As for the bug sweep it shows how paranoid the bosses have become. " The atmosphere is really bad now because everyone is worried about their jobs in this difficult climate. " ITV need to keep Coronation Street flying high because of the ad revenue and overseas sales it generates. " Crowther hates any negative stories about the show coming out." The People |
