I thought Twisty would be scarier tbh. I feel like I get tense whenver he's on screen but never scared.

The bit with the severed head scared me. :worry:

I like that they aren't over working the "struggling Freak Show" angle. When I first read it, I thought, "how interesting can multiple episodes of Jessica Lange singing to a crowd of 1 and then crying be?" I thought it was going to be the main storyline, but it isn't really. The arcs that they're setting up are really good so far.

I really like the musical numbers too. I think Murphy's mentioned that he took inspiration from Baz Luhrmann, but even then I couldn't imagine them being this good.

Tom4784 16-10-2014 04:52 PM

I thought it was a much stronger episode than the first one.

Spoiler:

The clown has already lost his edge but I like that they're teaming him up with Dandy, I'm not sure if this particular story line has legs though and I disliked how they revealed what was under the clown's mask already. That reveal should have happened further down the line.

I'm not sold on Micheal Chiklis' character just yet, it doesn't help that the role is typical Chiklis-esque. I hope there's more twists and turns to come for his character since, at the moment, he's a walking talking plot device. Desiree seems interesting although underused at the moment so I hope that will change. Overall I like where this series is going, hopefully it doesn't pull a coven and completely derail itself at the halfway mark.

He's scary under the mask

Bette having painted toenails and Dot not having them painted is the best characterisation I've ever seen.

Ep 2 was a lot better, but still no really solid storyline imo :/

S1 had Who's Rubber Suit/why is he killing the house owners etc
S2 had Who's Bloodyface (Past and present)/lana getting out of the asylum
S2 had Who's the Supreme/Feud between the witches and voodoo

So far we just sort of have why is twisty killing people :conf2:

It wasn't listed, so I clicked on episode one then used the 'next episode' button, and it was there.. :)

I really enjoyed that episode, it's still keeping that sinister feel about it. I feel like I'm just waiting for it to fall apart like Coven did though

The guy who teamed with the Clown is my fav. Used to think Evan Peters was the **** in this show but this posh guy is so dreamy <3

Shaun 17-10-2014 12:31 PM

watching e2 now. Well the guy who's killed before the credits is a ****ing idiot :idc: yes follow a trail of blood. I AM GLAD HE'S DEAD.

Shaun 17-10-2014 12:45 PM

I don't think I can stand any more of Dandy tbh, the actor really pisses me off (he was unbearable in Masters of Sex) and has an annoying face, voice, and fashion sense :idc:

Marsh. 17-10-2014 12:49 PM

Finally someone else who doesn't see what all this Dandy love is about. :clap1:

Dandy is a master of sex? :worry:

Saph 17-10-2014 01:20 PM

just finished ep 2

it was better than ep 1 but I hate the strong man, I can just tell hes going to annoy me all season. I'm presuming Jimmy is his son?

I'm not sure what to make of this series yet, its moving very slowly, hopefully it picks up a bit in the next couple of eps
