Well that's semi-decent for the interview then?

Jamesy 14-06-2014 07:16 PM

Gone are the days of 4-6 million viewers per night. Despite 1 million viewers a night not being brilliant, it does show that there is a solid group of viewers out there. I would hazard a guess that the show is doing just fine. Companies have still teamed up with C5 to advertise products on the show, Super Casino is still sponsoring the show too... there seems to be a continual commercial interest in the show so I wouldn't worry too much about the show failing at the moment.

It's the officials that will be make or break. If they don't do well then there might be some concern. Although I hope we'll be surprised when officials start coming out.

they're clearly not  all these ratings are awful. I didn't mention EE getting it's lowest figures since 2006 for no reason.

Those ratings aren't that much below what they usually get.

Prove me wrong.

Officials will save the show this year, I'd expect a 350K - 450K rise on the overnights! Peoples viewing habits have changed drastically over recent years, I usually catch up on demand 5 or record it due to my working schedule. I still think that 1 million viewers is still an applaudable amount of viewership as overnights. The series has started very well, I'm hooked. Viewers started switching off in 2007, I'm happy that they are playing with the format. Big Brother is still relevant.

Not surprised to be honest. With the world cup going on this year and the absolutely awful selection of housemates, this was inevitable, unfortunately. I just hope they do a better casting job next year. This model/in the limelight type housemate is incredibly boring and ineffective. I just hope they realize how well BB14 did and how poorly BB15 is doing and can act accordingly.

We get it, you like BB14 better.

Not bad at all last night considering.

1st show- 990,000
Interview- 960,000

Obviously that looks VERY low, but take into account how everything dropped. EE got 3.97m!

As for other news, apparently according to DS, the first 2 officials (2 launches) has been released. *overnight rating

Launch 1- 2.43m (higher than both BB14 launches) *2.13m
Launch 2- 1.96m *1.64m

Kai Anders 15-06-2014 01:02 AM

So happy to here this, do you have a link so I can delve into this deeper ?

uniquedude 15-06-2014 01:15 AM

I have no doubt the celebrity version will be renewed, Im just scared all of the good work c5 has done with bb13,bb14,cbb13 to get viewers back and hooked could go down the drain. I'm gonna be positive and predict something will happen to increase ratings some sort of 'gate'

Rob! 15-06-2014 01:40 AM

:amazed: at the officials! That second rating is still a bit ew but it's encouraging to see it make a good start like that.
I dread to think what tonight is going to get - an England game and it's a Saturday.

Samm 15-06-2014 01:57 AM

Omg @ the launch officials I'm hoping that we will see the same for the rest

Samm 15-06-2014 09:37 AM

BBC1's full coverage from 10.20pm to 1.30am averaged 11.51m/68.4%

Jake. 15-06-2014 09:40 AM

The first launch :worship:

*mazedsalv** 15-06-2014 09:42 AM

Have to note that usually launches time shift less than the other shows, so timeshifts of over 300k for both is impressive! Kind of foreshadows that on average, the shows will timeshift well over 400k. So 1.2m-1.3m overnights would become 1.6-1.7m. (on par or higher than BB12 and BB13).

Cal. 15-06-2014 09:59 AM

OMG, amazing officials! I hope that the officials are amazing!

Jamesy 15-06-2014 10:01 AM

Great officials. Hope it continues for the rest of the series!

Now can people please stop being negative all the time saying the show is going to be axed. The officials say the opposite!

Well... The England match got an 80% percent share so this is going to be uncomfortable whatever the ratings are...

I think it's probably going to be BB's lowest ever rating. :(
